It ain't over till the fat lady sings boys. (Cue typical Dolphin trolls saying Rex Ryan is the fat lady). 4-4 going into the bye is better than where many of us expected to be. It kills to be 1-3 in the division, but we can be 3-3 in the division with a win against the remaining two teams. We CAN beat the Bills and we WILL. The Pats game will be gigantic, but if the Dolphins/ Bills can beat them and we can beat them, then our division records will be even. This season is far from over. In fact, it's only half way through. Those who are too weak for this shit, abandon ship now because I'm sick of hearing it. Three out of the four losses this year have been in typical Jets style. Who's to say we won't do it again? With the Jets, it seems entirely too likely. But this season did not end today, and it doesn't end till we're mathematically eliminated... which we're far from being. Let's all grow a pair, acknowledge that the loss today wasn't squarely on the hands of one individual, and looking back after the initial hilarity, we can say that this team has the talent, the ability, and the coaching staff to put them in a position to win NOW.
I agree even tho we are all upset. 4-4 with a rookie qb and coach is not that bad going into the bye. we were 4-4 in 06 and made the playoffs so this season isnt over just yet. Sanchez actually showed some life at the end of the game thats a good sign.
This season is halfway over... and the way we CAN play and have played I see no reason why we do not make the playoffs. JAX- W NE- L CAR- W BUF-W Tampa- W ATL- W IND- L CIN- W
ATL and CIN are far from wins and we always play buffalo like crap - i expect nothing different in Toronto
Totally agree with all of this, even though this loss stings like hell. There were a lot of positives in this game, Sanchez, WR corps and the D's performance without Jenkins, but it's going to be a hell of a task to get to the playoffs, but remember, we did it back in 06...
10 and 6 with 3 losses in the division isn't getting you in we need to win 11 and outright win the division.
Playoffs are probably out of the question. We're 1-3 in the division. That's 3-3 at best so we pretty much lost that tiebreaker. We're 0-2 against Miami so we lose that tiebreaker. I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the year. No more expectations.
We could but hard to see how with a rookie HC and QB and allot of players who really aren't mentally tough.
This is a good post by the OP. I know we aren't done and have half a season to play but this was definitely a shot at both our record and our confidence. We are going to need to do some regrouping at the bye and somehow find a way to win a string of games after. I feel like this team is so close to coming together and being good but every week one facet is just off.
Wow this post was pretty enlightening for me. Thanks, i think this actually saved the rest of my week. Im just gonna enjoy watching the rest of the season as well. After all, the biggest part about watching football is actually w-a-t-c-h-i-n-g football, and not to focus on the playoffs and whatnot. Just enjoy the good stuff the Jets bring to the table.
Miami is good for 3rd in this divison .... At BEST .... Wildkitty, has pretty much run it's route .... and they have no other offense .... Can't expect GINN to run back 2 kicks a game
If we're going to the playoffs we need to make our move over the next 5 games, because we need to be playing well above where we have been if we're going to do anything over the last 3 weeks. If we get to 8-5 and end 8-8 it will be disgusting in here over the offseason.
so henne throwing all over you in his first nfl start with an amazing QB rating and no ints......was nothing? ok......
