You have seen that commercial? Too light, too heavy? Baiting should be done in such a way that the reader (phins fans) don't even know you are doing it. This was too heavy. Say a lot of nice stuff... then say something like "Henne has had a nice start, but now he is starting to show his weaknesses. But it's a good thing Miami has the wildcat so those weaknesses are hidden." Now, that's bait with a mile of chum behind it!
i like chum lines. great thread! my son-in-law 2b is a HUGE phin fan and is trying to raise my first grandboy to also be a phin fan. WTF???? i love my daughter and all this but i may have to kill her future husband.
ROFLMAO!!!! I have a similar battle - My sister is corrupting my daughters to be Yankee fans. I at least have them screaming J-E-T-S and Yankees Suck! woo hoo!
So many things wrong with this post. First off, that was not a season ending loss. It was a big loss, but our season is not over. Second, most Fin fans realize the Super Bowl was a huge stretch for our team. We are still rebuilding and just over one season removed from a 1-15 campaign. So, winning the division along the way only makes it even more sweet. Choking to the Saints is a stretch. We had the lead, but you cannot expect to keep a team as good as the Saints down for very long. Some bad coaching calls and WR drops helped the Saints win that game. The Jets may be waiting for payback, but our Fins have been waiting for another win. This is not a gimme game for either team. I think both teams have an equal shot at beating each other this weekend. The Jets season will be over just as easily as the Fins come sunday if Miami wins. I don't know how they would recover from being 1-3 in the division with a loss to the Fins. Uhh... the Bills. We stomped them 38-10. You on the other hand lost to them at home, so I guess you're right, we aren't in their class. We are above them, you are below them. Oh, on a side note, the Phillies are going to win the World Series.
If that was bait... it had no chum line. I hate the Yankees too. Most Mets fans do. But, the Yankees will win anyway. As for Miami.... the ONLY reason the Jets lost to the Bills was the wind and a rookie soithern CA QB who can't throw in it. As a team, the Jets are far superior to the phish. I believe the Jets will absolutely squash yer team tomorrow. (I took the Bills with the points and the Jets over the Raiders with the over). Trust me.... Jets 28-13.
