Oh, right. I forgot. You prefer interesting teams in order to successful teams.

    So you Like the Yankees.

Pettitte, Mariano, Jeter, Cano, Posada, Hughes, Joba...man, we gotta a lot of solid foundation guys who were home grown.

Remeind me how many METS are home grown again?
or wait. I'm sorry the Phillies...or wait, NM
    You meant "Solid foundation" oohhh...ok...

    Nevermind.

When I read dumb shit like that it just oooozes of the typical Napoleon/Inferiority Complex METS fans have.

They will come up w/ all this BS because for some reason they can't man up and say, "Fuk it, I hate the YANKEES becaue you're always good."
or "....Because you get all the press"..Just man up.

There are 2 reasons to root for the Phillies.
1- You always root NL in the WS
    2- nope, There's only 1 reason

To root for them because you are anti-YANKEE screams of the issues METS fans have....

You root because you HATE the YANKEES more than the Phillies?
    Why? How?
JEALOUSY>>>>> C'mon! MAN THE FUK UP!!!!!!

ok ill reply to both comments above at once-cappy,

yes actually i do prefer an interesting team to one that wins all the time, you are absolutely correct. Im not obsessed with winning.... maybe im not a real sports fan. Id love for at least one of my goddamn teams to get at least one championship sometime soon, but nonetheless im content being a fan of the jets mets and knicks.

The mets have the 2nd highest payroll and still suck, I KNOW, im a mets fan. My point has been that they still mix in with the rest of the league, though. If my team was the ONLY team to spend 70 million more dollars than the entire rest of the league id be embarrassed (regardless of how much success that brings). Thats all personal opinion. Most people dont care about silly things like that as long as they win, im just not like that though, i dont have a win at all costs mentality.

Im not saying its a good mentality, i admit i have a very different and perhaps twisted outlook on sports, once again im content with it though. I stopped playing sports a long time ago and became an artist because I never found winning as interesting as the content of the game. I find the game itself interesting. When i see a team like the yankees, i have a field day picking them apart because i find the relationship they share with the game itself to be peculiar and thats why I do it.

Is this absurd? Maybe it is, maybe I am, i probably am but Im having fun. I actually appreciate your replies because I havent been able to organize my personal thoughts on the world of sports on paper in a while (which is fun to do), and which i think is why we all post on the forum, to take our ideas and impulses and get them on paper (or on the screen) so they kind of manifest.

As for royal tee, Believe me, I am aware the yankees are good. I believe yankee fans like to remind me they have 26 world championships, strong evidence supporting the fact that your team is good. Am i jealous of only having 2 as opposed to 26 rings? Yes indeed. Would I like the mets to start spending 208 mil tomorrow? No. For two reasons, the mets would fail with the front office they have right now regardless of how much they spent, and much more importantly, for all the other aforementioned reasons ive posted too many times already.

Spot fukin on! If people want to complain about all the high dollar players the Yankees have, they have to also turn around and give them credit for making the majority of them high dollar players.

Feel free to stop generalizing about an entire fan base.

Nope, Only the ones w/ that Mentality....

I actually don't like when people generalize because it's unfair but when it's about 70% of the METS NY fan base that seem to think that way, is it really a generaliztion?

Hah, it's always a tragedy when I agree with a Sox fan, but you're right dubagedi. I couldn't even understand Yankees fans hoping the Sox beat the Angels to meet us in the ALCS.

To me, the Sox must lose. The only thing in the entire sport more important is the Yankees winning.
