Surprised no one brought this up but... who do we sign to the active roster? I don't think a RB because we'll use Woodhead, we might sign a WR but with the play of Clowney and Wright I don't think so... Could we give a look to a NT/DE? Maybe sign a KR/PR?
I knew he wasm't all that healthy.. anyone know if he healed in the meantime? I wouldn't mind signing someone to handle KR duties... if he turns out to be good we might get a pick for him when Leon comes back!
I definitely wouldn't mind bringing Miller back for the KR job, he was a serious weapon there that was only just release since Leon was as good as he.
for this game we'll prob get an extra WR if both Cotch an Smith are out or an extra DL. Then, having a bye week, we'll have time to evaluate the needs of this team. It's such a good thing to have the bye late on in the season.
Justin Miller has been signed and dropped by two different teams the last two weeks. Must be something seriously wrong with this guy.
After visiting the Tennessee Titans in the off-season, Justin Miller signed a two year contract with the Oakland Raiders. He was released on September 5, 2009 along with several other players. On September 30, 2009, Miller was re-signed by the Raiders. However, he was released on October 7. this is what wikipedia has to say...
Who has more money: Ditka or God? Here's our PS roster: Kenwin Cummings - LB Jason Davis - FB Keith Fitzhugh - S Antonio Garay - DT Marcus Henry - WR Matt Kroul - DL Brian McKee -OT Matthew Mulligan - TE If it's one of these guys, I'm thinking it's going to be Garay (6'3", 303lbs.) Ryan is going to want more depth at DL in the wake of the Jenkins injury.
Open Roster Spot Now that Leon is on the IR, the Jets active roster is now 52. What do you guys think they'll do with the extra roster spot? I don't see anyone on the practice squad that would likely fill a need at this point. Too bad Aundrae Allison is also on the IR list - that guy was a pretty quick WR & KR in the preseason. Add to the DL rotation? Add a speedy RB/KR/WR hybrid? Who's out there on the waiver wire? Did I miss a signing?
Good point. Justin Miller is a burner on kick-offs. He's a liability as a DB - although with all of the injuries nagging the unit, he'd be a decent option.
Justin Miller was a pro bowler to, and he said he learned from Leon. I'm all for it, he's a great all around special teams player too. Also adds more depth at CB if we absolutely need it.
