Just wondering if you guys know if he is going to play. I know the Jets are playing it safe with him right not with that hammy.

Barring any setbacks....I have a good feeling he plays this week.

I think he could've played this past Sunday...but Rex probably wanted to give him the extra rest.

    How do i know this?......i'm a part-time circus gypsy.

Look first for at least a "partially participated" in practice this Wednesday as a leading indicator.

Hamstring injury takes forever to heal properly. Might play but he will be limited. I'm guessing they would like to limit him until after the bye.

i really hope he plays. i have dreams of a 3 wide set with edwards and cotch on one side and clowney flying down the sideline on the other side. it would be a thing of beauty.

I'd love to see him come back for Miami, but if there is a team that our depth receivers match up well against, it's that shitty Miami secondary.

i agree. Gibril Wilson can't tackle or cover & they'll be starting 2 rookie CB's.

Considering the gravity of this game I'd think Cotchery would have to be in bad shape to not at least attempt to go this time around. Hamstrings are tricky but on the same token without him vs Miami we're going to be in bad shape.

I hope he plays, but can you please explain why I laugh out loud when I look at your avatar?

We could really use him back, but I'd rather have him sit for another week if he thinks he might have another setback by playing.

It's kind of a hard trade-off. You start Cotch and he plays well, we may get a divison win going into the bye, but if he re-aggravates that hammy, he could be out of another month and then we'll be up shit creek against 2 more divison rivals.

I'd prefer to err on the side of caution while we are starting to get production out of Clowney.

I'd rather Cotchery not play at all this week, especially with rainy conditions around this weekend. Yes, I want him back on the field, but I'd rather give him these next two weeks to get back into full playing condition, rather than risk him aggravating it.

Honestly, I want to run this week anyway. I want our offense to hold onto the ball as long as physically possible. Line up Edwards, Clowney, and B. Smith (if available) or Wright in the slot, along with Keller, and that's enough weapons for a passing attack that should be used mostly off play-action.

With a bye week coming up to get healthy, I wouldn't risk playing Cotchery unless he is very close to 100%. We will need him for the playoff run.

Losing to Miami would make it extremely difficult to have a playoff run.

The weather is actually the one reason I would say to bring Cotch back early. Edwards gets doubled a ton and his effectiveness is limited on the intermediate routes, and I don't know what the hell the problem is with Keller, but he just doesn't look like the same player as he did when he had Favre throwing him the ball. Sometimes it looks like it's effort, sometimes it looks like concentration, but when we played the Bills in that weather, DK had the air of a guy who didn't give a shit.

Clowney, well, he's not an all-around receiver and while he opens up the intermediate routes underneath for other receivers, that's not going to be an effective decoy if we're looking at the same type of weather as we had against the Bills. Clowney just doesn't seem effective at all underneath, though, and Wright just seems like a fish out of water when he is running routes and trying to get separation in the few times I've been able to check out his matchups in the air game.

I would really like a nice day in the Meadowlands on Sunday. Things would be a lot simpler.
