100% agree with this entire post. 200% if you condense it to the words "run the ball until they stop you."

Haha, thanks man, I appreciate it.

When I wrote the first one a few weeks ago (the first loss) it was so there would be a place where people could just rationally discuss the game, positives and negatives, without the ridiculous "We suck!" "Same old Jets!" "Everyone is a bust!" "Fire everyone!" stuff. Now I'm really starting to enjoy it, and looking forward to writing it each week.

I'm glad others are enjoying it. That makes it totally worthwhile.

I too was wondering why the kid was still in there that late in the game and throwing passes to boot. Sometimes, Schotts kinda loses me with his thought process. Guess that's what happens with geniuses..Did you see the shots that kid was taking late in the game from the Fader Dline? I guessed they were a bit pissed off as well and was starting to tee off on Sanchez.

    Great analysis BTW!

The run defense was generally poor and got gashed right up the middle several times. We're not back to where we were with D-Rob playing NT, because the two ILB's are better than we had then but we're definitely not a good run defense at this point.

That's the main thing that's going to hold us back at this point.

That would have been a much more reasonable call.

    100% agree with this post.

The run d is a major concern...especially for next week and the season going forward. Rex is going to have to get creative, and I have faith that he will.

Next week is a statement game for sure.

    Guy was hungry..Big deal.

    Insulting?

Please. He should have done it on the sideline, openly.

Remember that 18 consecutive rushes several years back ?

Any other threads you feel like inserting useless posts into Hobbes? It's not like that part hasn't already been addressed in the thread anyway. Repeatedly.

Well, the thing is...guy was hungry...what is the issue here ?

It's not like they brought it out to the huddle with the Gatorade, during a T.V. timeout.

This was a guy eating. 50+ MINUTES INTO A GAME...If he pulled out a sharpie and signed a gameball after rushing TD the Aholes on TV would be chuckling over how imaginative he is...

    I just think it's a nitpicky thing...that's all.

To be perfectly honest, I have more of a problem with him still in the game at that point

It's not going to be 80+ degrees here...

I'm curious to observe how much of the 4th qtr wilt, was schedule related.

He was already out of the game at that point. He never stepped back onto the field after that.

But I agree he was in far too long. I don't mind so much that he was still in with the game out of reach, but like I said, I really do mind that he was put into a shotgun on third down in garbage time. That's just stupid.

As far as the hot dog, read my other posts about it. It's a dead conversation because I agree it shouldn't be an issue. I'm simply pointing out that it could be one.

Very good post. Not to belabor the hot dog thing, 1. if you have to be descrete and try to hide it then you probably should not be doing it anyway. 2. he is the QB of the NY Jets, everytime he goes to the sideline or is on the sideline there is a camera on him, so how did he think he would not get caught. Finally, who in the hell got him the hot dog in the first place? and why in the hell would they think that is a good idea.

he was quoted saying his stomach felt queasy. The hotdog was a good way to remedy that situation.

i have no problem with him wanting something to eat to make him feel better before going back out on a field with people trying to kill him.

    Sanchez gets what he wants.

Yeah, what the hell is up with the criticism? He was trying to hide it while eating it. I find that to be a positive attribute. I mean, is it against the rules, the unwritten rules? How is that insulting the opponents and making enemies?

Alio, an excellent thread overall, I must agree.

I just think Sanchez was in Ryan's doghouse for a very short time during the game

I think to be a good play caller you have to be unpredictable. That said I am scratching my head about 1/3 of the time with Schotty. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not!

Don't forget that it happened during a TV timeout when nobody was playing any actual football, after he got pulled.

fuck that shovel pass, if your gonna give the rookie the ball let him try an actual pass play. it's not like he couldn't use the work.
