Being a serviceable player is better then being out of the league right now. If he was an undrafted free agent you guys would be all up on his jock saying what a good story, the guy works hard, etc. He's serviceable, he's still gonna help this team. Yea he's disappointing, but he's still useful. Anyway, the way our pass rush is right now, I would shit myself if anyone got a sack, let alone Gholston.
Let's replace Gholston's brain with a pitbull's? I don't care if we have to keep him chained up during the week, I want to see him destroy some qbs.
what the jets need to do is to scheme some plays specifically designed to make gholston look good, then pawn him off to some sucker team for a 3rd pick or something. Pace is looking like crap because he is off the juice(due to suspension) and therefore has lost his edge. the dude was average all along, he juiced up, had a break year and then got caught. now he is back to being name that fills out a roster.
Ghoston didnt look to good over playing jaclkson return on the punt that rex stupidly threw the red flag on.he over ran the play and jackeon was able to cut back inside instead of using the sidelines to his advantage.
I agree 100%. Gholston has played a whole lot better that Pace - to this point. The suspension has really hurt Pace.
Thank you for posting this! I was screaming at the TV. Ghost had the guy dead to rights and he got juked out of his shoes. Awful!
this thread is useless right now. Improving? who gives a fuck. Number 6 pick=complete bust. Next topic
Stat sheet shows him with .5 tackles yesterday. I tried my best to look for him on the field with our D- didn't see anything. Was he on the field at that point or did his 1/2 tackle come on special teams?
He had a couple snaps. You can't miss him. He's always the guy standing up near the pile after the play. Not the ref, the other one.
When a player can't even get on the field during a complete BLOWOUT, speaks VOLUMES to what the coaching staff thinks of him. It's time to start incorporating the word bust into da ghost's name...I'll go first! Vernon Bustston Buston Gholston Continue to play...please.
i think the writing is on the wall regarding Gholston and how Rex views him in this defense http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/2009/10/26/2009-10-26_bill_callahan.html
I say we fatten him up to the tune of 350 pounds and convert him to a nose tackle. At least just sitting him there will be better than what we got going now.
