http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/10/25/jets-washington-out-indefinitely-with-broken-fibula/ Very Interesting, I thought his career might be over.
Had a broken fibula this summer cast for 2 months .. def think he is out this season but def will be back next year
Didn't Vick break his leg a few years ago early in the season and come back to play later in the year? It may not have been Vick but I swore somebody did it? Maybe TO with the Eagles?
why the hell would his career be over? Like everyone else said he broke a small bone in his foot. Hopefully he could return IF we make the POs.
Could be good news, but my guess is that he is probably out for the season and will be on the IR soon. What I think is crazy is that he already had surgery. He was on the field 3-4 hours ago, and has already been under the knife.
I think it was TO who broke his fibula after a Roy Williams horsecollar tackle which resulted in the Roy Williams rule. TO made it back for the Super Bowl and had a good game.
That's good news and gives hope, but only necessary if we are looking at the postseason. It is plausible that he can play 8 weeks from now. I broke my femur in September, was walking without a cane 4 days later, and look to be snowboarding by December. I was in nowhere near as good pre-injury shape as Leon, which doctors say is more of a determining factor than post-injury rehabilitation. He should be completely fine by mid-January, but only need be rushed back if we are in serious contention. And for the sake of pete, broken bones are not usually career threatening. Often, they heal up to be stronger than before the injury.
Darren Sproles had the same injury in 2006 per schefter, and he is still explosive. I guess they think theres an outside shot of him playing in the playoffs if were fortune it enough to make them.
it was both actually. vick broke his in preseason and played the last few games. t.o. broke his late in the year and made it back to play in the superbowl.
Of course that injury is serious, it is a bone that has been entirely broken. What type of question is that? It'll be 6 weeks before he can even run again.
its actually better that its the fibula and not the tibia. Fibula bears about 20% of your weight so he will def come back from it.
