Thanks mOO. I just think they had no other option than starting Sanchez and once that decision is made on the future guy, benching him serves little purpose. Adjusting the play calling when you have the lead or it's close and other things are working, does ring true for me though.

If Sanchez throws 2 INTs in the first half, there will be an estimated 15 threads on how he is a bust or we should bench him.

Jets fans are no different to any other fans. We just know each other better, so we see all the positives and the negatives in great detail.

Wondering if Sanchez should be benched if he stinks the place up again is a legitimate question. Quarterbacks get benched all the time. John Elway was benched as a rookie.

After a time you have to ask yourself if it will harm a young player's confidence more to bench him, or to go on letting him throw picks. Both can hurt. Both can be part of a maturation process. There's no way to know how it will work out this early and anyone who is certain one way or the other is ignoring the evidence, which shows that there is no clear-cut right or wrong way to do this.

Let's hope Sanchez plays a good game and renders the whole thing moot anyway.

Lets be honest... Braylon bailed him out on more than one occasion. He was ok but not great. The thing is he doesn't need to be great for the Jets to win games. He just can't lose games like he did against Buffalo and Nawlins. If he plays average in those 2 games we might be looking at 5-1.

Clowney too? He played pretty damn well. He led the team to take the lead 3 times. 0 INTs. What more does he have to do?
