I use a lot of it. I never really knew the difference between types of fat. Unless you're talking about Fat vs. Phat. The sodium content was a bit high too. As far as the Turkey Burg' -- It was all that was in the freezer, I would have gone with beef if there was any. At any rate that shit tastes fucking awesome!
I have to agree. I think it was a great find but I think the use of turkey cancels out any clogging potential that there may be with this gem. EDIT: I see your reason. I will say though I like to keep back up frozen patties on hand in case of emergency such as this.
Yeah, it definitely has some mayo undertones -- mostly in it's consistency and texture. Bacon is the overwhelming flavor though. I like mayo, so it's all good in my book. I do, however, hate miracle whip -- it just tastes like it was made in a lab. I don't know, If you love bacon, you might be able to stomach Baconnaise -- get drunk, get experimental, who knows?
Maybe someone can work out a way to also blend in the meat patty, the buns, the onion etc. and you can just eat big mushy spoonfulls of Burginaise. Like a Burger, only pre-masticated.
I love this thread, but I'm a purist. If I want a bacon taste in my Burger I'm going to put some bacon on it. I'm not judging those who want to muck around with fancy schmancy condiments, with flavour 381 enhancer and what not. Scruggs is still a Burger God in my eyes but for myself I'll stick with raw ingredients and when I want a twist or something different I'll do it with something not made by a chemist.
Went burgin' last night--they just opened up a Cheeburger Cheeburger near me, so naturally i had to try their 20 oz "pounder." Finished it in like 5 minutes, was damn good. Cheder jack, bacon, lettuce tomato--a classic. Anyway, for eating it I got my picture on the wall. edit: smaller pic
They just opened up a Cheeburger Cheeburger near me, too. You don't live near me do you? The owner is bald with tatoos on his arm; I used to spar with him regularly in karate.
A pound burger got you on the wall? I made an almost 2lb monster last night and polished it off, with 3 beers and french fries. It was cheat night on the ole diet. I think I gained all I lost though, oh well!
T-minus 45 mins...till i get to sink my teeth into a Moxie's super burger......free of charge (birthday lunch) here's a visual aid of the beefy monstrosity.
Man, that thing looks good. I wasn't even hungry till i saw it. But, it's not slathered in ketchup, nor is the salad to the right of it, so i can only assume your feeling under the weather. Hope you get better man. Damn that thing looks good. Needs bacon to go with those mushrooms though.
that's the only pic they had available. I always order it with bacon and sauteed mushrooms of course I'll get fries instead of the salad....with the Dill mayo. Oh, and there will be a ketchup appearance....guaranteed.
You know what i tried the other day that's good, and maybe i can meet you in the middle with condmiment wise. Chipotle mayo. That stuff is awesome. And i take back my earlier statement of the bacon. I reviewed the picture, whilst drooling the entire time, and there was indeed a bacon sighting at about 4:00 just below the second patty.
Happy Birthday fatass Are you going to a Moxie's Classic Grill? I'm headed there tonight myself. Anniversary dinner and a hockey game, cannot be a bad night! Gonna get: x-treme burger not one but two seasoned beef patties topped with the works plus saut?ed mushrooms, bacon, aged white cheddar, mozzarella and bbq sauce
