looks like this is turning into a contest of proving who was meaner to whom.... i'm a met fan, and for the record, yankee and met fans can try and force to play nice, but deep down, they'll always harbor animosity towards each other, for whatever reason. hope the yanks crush the phils, cuz i can handle a NY team winning the series over a team/fanbase in philly that i fucking despise like nothing else.
FTR, Yisman had nothing to do with my starting this thread. Rich neither, though I'm a bit disappointed with his anti-Yankee rants of late. This thread was more for the JoeJets of the board. As far as animosity, I truly have none for the Mets or their fans. I don't mean this to sound dickish at all, but 99% of the time, I don't even think about the Mets. The only time I do is when their fans start ranting, or there is something about them in the news (a nice winning streak, or a big injury.) Which is why I can never understand all this hate that comes from Mets fans. Save that energy for teams you actually face.

Yeah, it's only a handful of people who go out of their way to be a pain in the ass. Honestly, except for the people who make an effort to be asses, I really don't have any animosity for Mets fans or their team. I do really mean that. Sox fans I despise. Mets fans I'm indifferent towards. Again, not to sound dickish, it's just the truth. 99% is only a slight exaggeration, and only because given that I live in Queens, they're unavoidable. I really don't think about the Mets at all unless I'm talking directly to a Mets fan, or the Mets are on the news. In all honesty, this thread wasn't meant to tweak nerves of people such as yourself. Though what you're dealing with right now is the same exact garbage I've been dealing with for years on this board. Sorry, but the "rise above" stuff only lasts so long. Don't sweat it. This was a one time thing for me. I even partially regret it to begin with, since people like you and Yisman (who is probably the biggest pure baseball fan on the board) got tweaked, and that was never my intent.
