I agree. But if you spend some time in here on BB forum, you'll find that all yankee fans are "arrogant asshole yankee fans". We have a few redsox posters, and the dislike from them pales in comparison to that of the met fans(on here, anyway).
I think when you make threads about how the Mets are thieves and they're a joke of a franchise, and God knows what else, that's the cost of doing business.

haha, check out the usual suspects, rooting against the yankees, even if it is a division rival they are playing. davecrazy, Exit 117, IATA, ShadeTree#55
They must live near more Yankee fans and the Mets/Phillies rivalry at this height is only a few years old, if not for what i had to live through last year this decision would be much more difficult to me. I equate Yankee baseball to Notre Dame football considering the obnoxious fan bases elevating their team as if it was a holy entity. in this case however I've been burned and hated the Phillies more since I've had to live in the shit for a few years
I've long been resigned to the fact that I'll see the Yankees win more championships than the Mets, so the Yankees winning a WS here in 2009 is no big deal. It was to be expected. But the Phillies gaining the upper hand from both a present and historical standpoint over the Mets? That would be too much to take. At least right now the Phillies have two World Series championships just like the Mets. As far as my personal scoreboard goes it is 1-1. I was only three years old in 1980, so that Phillies WS win means little to me. I do not deal with any Yankees fans in real life. I do come across Phillies fans in my day-to-day activities. This morning one of them said, "How 'bout them Phillies? The Phillies are hot. They're gonna spank that ass." Another one said, "Well, the World Series is going to be the Spankees vs the Phillies." From the Out of Left Field Department: A friend told me that he asked someone who he is rooting for and the person responded with the question, "Is Dan Marino still pitching for the Mets?"
Hey, typeO, I'd respond to your posts in a dignified manner, but it's not worth it because you're determined to just group all Mets fans into one category no matter what. So instead, I'll say this: fuck you and fuck the Yankees.
The example of Philly fans you gave is typical jarring between 2 rival fans. Some people take it too seriously. I have a customer who is a big Sox fan. I went to clean the carpets in her house 2 years ago,i show up at the door and she is wearing a redsox sweatshirt, and gave me some wise ass comments. This was right after they won the series. I never viewed her as an Asshole Sox fan. I was doing a job in her neighborhood today. Passed by her house saw her out on the lawn, stopped and asked her where the sweatshirt is this year, and drove off laughing. I saw her laughing too. Its just fun. Most met fans get too pussified over the whole thing
Take a look at the topic you brought into this, and see why i said what i said. And I am sorry i said it,because a douche like you is hardly worth getting suspended for.
No, all I see is you bringing the same attitude into every one of these threads. Nothing changes. You're always being persecuted. And since you know you're wrong, you figure you can cover that up by name-calling. Nice job.
I'm wrong? I don't think so. I have my opinion which just happens do differ from yours. I have never told anyone else THEY are wrong either. Its all opinion and where you come from. On both topics. But you insist on calling me out.
Yeah, why would I call you out for spouting your usual garbage? Same old, same old. Especially the part where you start crying and yelling "ASSHOLE! FUCK! DOUCHE!" Mature, as always.
Check my record here,Yisman. I have never called anyone anything in the 6 years ive been here, You are the 1st,pal.
