He's the fucking man. His interviews alone make me think we're on a road to destiny...haha even after 3 straight losses....Mangini was a little suckling conniving bitch, he doesn't have an ounce of the man fortitude Ryan possesses. LETS WIN!!!!
and thats why I love this coach. A stone wall against adversity and not backing down. Not backing down is something this franchise has to learn and he wants to teach it to all of us.
did anyone really expect him to say he was now willing to kiss belis rings? he sure has been pretty quiet the last few weeks though, and he really needs to be. this may be one of those stretches that levels him out a little bit. sure he will always come off as cocky and brash but this may take his mouth out of the paper every single week with some bullshit a little bit more.
You tell em' Rex......fuck the naysayers. He's trying to establish a new mentality for this franchise....being able to handle adversity as a team is part of that.
i like rex ryan is who he is regardless of circumstances.... he doesn't change for anyone. everyone was loving the swagger the first 3 weeks....now it's shut up?
only fearful SOJF want him to be silenced. The idea though, is to have that hardened confidence. But its foolish to pop off at the mouth after three losses. Its not foolish to not stand down from your conviction that it is your job to win multiple superbowls. Thats just determination and fearlessness.
The trash talking went out the window BEFORE the losing started. He was quiet as a mouse in the week leading up to New Orleans. The Jets need him mouthing off. It was a big part of their persona in the fast start and when he got quiet the team deflated. Part of not being the SOJ is having a coach talking like you're not the SOJ. He needs to start doing that again. He doesn't have to be arrogant about it and give other teams bulletin board material but he should be cocky and funny just like he was all summer and through the first 3 weeks. The Jets need that.
