it wouldn't surprise me if we won both, it would surprise if we lost both though. i can see 2-0 or 1-1 pretty easily. this team has already shown that they can play with the best the league has when they are playing well. the last two weeks they have not played anywhere close to well. easy come, easy go i guess.
I think we are breaking the oakland hex they are worse then the bills. Believe it or not fitzpatrick is better then jamarcus russel. If our secondary plays well enough that we can stack the box and stop their also weak run we should be good. Sanchez just has to keep us from losing the game which i think he will because rex is not letting him pass much. I think 15 passes from sanchez this week and a 16-10 win sounds right. This is what we should of done with the bills but I guess i have to get over that.
Sanchez will win in LA. That boy likes it hot, his dad not only moved them to the insanely hot and humid west coast but his dad was actually a firefighter. Who picks a job requiring tons of heavy clothes, hats and gloves and running into burning buildings in 100 degree heat? I would be delivering ice or something. Sanchez will be chilly come Nov 1st for the Dolphins game. JC it was like 46 last sunday and he couldn't handle it.
He didnt lose because of the weather. He said it himself but I believe him it looked more like misreads and forcing it to edwards then being cold.
I think Jenkins being out gives my Phins a real advantage. However it will be a tough match. If it was a neutral site or here I'd say the Dolphins have a slight edge. With it being in your home turf I expect a good game. Both teams need this win and need it badly. I'm kinda excited.
It would be just like the Jets to lose to Oakland and beat Miami, but guaranteeing anything but a team that will not put all phases of the game together is crazy.
the Cat was working with Jenkins in the middle. i have a feeling it'll be used more than 1/3 of the time than last meeting. I wouldn't be shocked if the spread is at 1 or maybe the fins by -2.
It depends how we look this week. I think we beat Oakland this week, but it really wouldn't surprise me if we lost. Even without Jenkins, if Oakland scores more than 14 points, it would be really surprising. Even when Oakland beat Philly, they only scored 13 points, and their only TD was on an 86 yard pass. This defense is still a good defense, and it should still swallow up a bad offense like Oakland. The question will be how it can do against good offensive lines/running games like Miami.
if we lose against oakland, then i am ready to say our season is done and we are a a work in progress team.
Serious question that I would love to get the board's view on. the Dolphins' base play out of the Wildcat has three options: Williams on the jet sweep right; Brown off the right tackle; Brown running the counter left. None of these are designed to go up the gut, though of course Brown can do what he wants. How much does the NT matter in defending against those plays?
An NT like Jenkins still matters in the blocking schemes. He could penetrate the backfield. Leaving him one on one was risky.
Ever hear of one game at a time? Beat the Raiders and that will be an accomplishment. The history of the Jets and even the Phins is that winning on the west coast, especially at Oakland, is tough.
