Yea I forgot about the penalties. That's a huge problem. Outside of Buffalo I don't remember seeing a lot of penalties in the regular season though. Let's hope that was an anomaly. Yeah I do remember that. With a gimpy QB he's got Favre hurling bricks. McFadden is out, and with Russell behind center this has to be a win. If they lose this game, or if it's even close and dramatic, I think it'll be a clear indicator that teams are starting to get their number. This early in the season, that would be tragic. I'm not sure how many more games they can lose before he loses the team after pumping them up. Sooner or later players are going to see just see lips moving. That would also be tragic. I like Rex...I do and I want to believe he's everything he thinks he is, but man after having such a great start and getting spanked since, it's tough to swallow. He needs to focus on getting both sides of the ball playing at least solid football on the same day.
I think the guy that wrote the article was just extremely pissed off and snapped. I'm serious, I felt the same way and to a large degree still do. I just can't have the same optimism I did even after the Miami game. I'm not sure I'd be as pissed if they do lose to the Raiders, since at this point I almost expect it. 3 weeks ago, I was sure the playoffs were a possibility. Right now 8-8 seems like a stretch. And to be honest I'm sick of mediocrity. Just one year of hell unleashed would be nice. One year where Monday isn't a funeral.

It's losing 3 games in a row, 2 of which are in the division to teams with losing records and nobody behind center. It's people pissed off about being so excited that we may finally have a wrecking machine, only to have the same shit happen....bizarre play calling. Blatant mistakes when the game is on the line...mistakes that everyone from the schmuck on his sofa to guys in the booth can see is a blatant mistake except the coach doesn't see it and he was born into football.
