Rex also said he going to be agressive on both sides of the ball. You put away teams by being agressive. You don't see the Colts, Giants, Patriots playing to protect leads. Good teams put the hammer down on the jugular when they have the chance - we took our chances and they backfired.
You do realize that even if you for some reason wanted to eliminate Jone's 2 Long runs.. THE JETS STILL RAN FOR 170 YARDS!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!! That's gaudy in itself... You really want to eliminate the best 2 plays of the day and play some game??????? REALLY???? Rose colored Glasses???? I didn't even want Sanchez!!!!!!! I'm the last person to stick up for this guy.... Bad play calling is bad play calling though...
The sickening thing is that you are still off by a whole number that in itself is a successful running Day.
If you SOJ lemmings want to follow Joe Benigno and his despair routine - go for it. Personally, I'm not buying in.
I didn't say SOJ.... But, this coaching staff needs to wake up and I'm seeing the same disaster play calling from Schott from last year... The simple fact is, there was no reason to lose that game, there was no reason for Sanchez to be in those positions and the icing on the cake is the lack of discipline is ALSO on the Coaching staff... So, yeah, I'm going to back off Sanchize for now, A guy I didn't even want but, he's my QB... And I'm going to pin this 100% on the coaching staff. Even with Jenkins, Rex's D was coming up flat - and his on field decisions are Herm-Like so far... I'm not saying SOJ - BUT WAKE THE F UP COACHING STAFF!!!!
I'll agree on one thing the penalties - that is a concern . The rest of the stuff , is just emotional outburst over losing to a team we all thought we'd beat.
I don't know if he would rather kill the team but when the Jets lay a stinker it certainly helps his career and ratings. If the Jets were a great franchise year in and year out he'd have no show.
i wonder what you vagina's would be crying about if the jets had only let sanchez throw 15 times and they still lost. probably about how an offense needs balance.
I usually don't agree with these two, but this rant was 100% dead on!!! If Jet fans can't see that the CS is to blame, then I just don't know what to say.
3rd string? Ryan Fitzpatrick is Buffalo's 2nd string quarterback. Gibran Hamdan is Buffalo's 3rd string QB. Hamdan did not play vs the Jets.
this is the truth. we have heard it for the last what 7 years from hackett to last year now its the other way around and its still wrong. not that they did the right thing its that it doesnt matter what they do if it doesnt work its the wrong thing. cakes its all semantics when your talking about whoever that guy was
There is a difference between Fitzpatrick and Hamdan. Fitzpatrick's started 15 games in the league and Hamdan has jumped around as a clipboard holder for 5 or 6 years. I saw two different posters refer to Fitzpatrick as a 3rd stringer. It's as if they think J.P. Losman is still with the Bills, that he was out with an injury in Week 6. The posters were trying to further indict the Jets by commenting that they let a 3rd stringer beat them.
i didnt realize he had started that many games. i had never heard of him before that game. he surely didnt look like an nfl ready qb to me. i am always interested in the information you bring and was kinda kidding that he really wasnt very good as a 2 or a 3. thanks for the heads up, you always have good info.
yep, i have a hard time saying i have a problem with this. HELLO, we drafted a qb who played 16 fucking games in college! This is the price you pay. FUCK. We are going to spank oakland I know it. Just shut everybody on this board up, please.
How bad must this Hamdan guy be if he is behind Fitzpatrick? I've never even heard of him...where did he go to college? Actually I just googled him and the guy has quite an interesting story...born in San Diego but moved to Kuwait when he was a young kid. The family home was destroyed when Iraq invaded Kuwait in 90. The family was on vacation when that happened. He was a center on his HS basketball team and played on the US U-15 baseball team. His mother was born in Pakistan and married his father when she was 16. His father was a Palestinian nuclear engineer at the University of Illinois.
Joe B WANTS it to be SOJ because SOJ has made Joe B's career. It's not close to being SOJ this team right now. It played like it the past 2 weeks but it is so far from SOJ, the talk around here, there and everywhere is like a daily dose of sunshine and smiles to me. SOJ doesn't beat New England in Week 2 - they get annihilated. SOJ wonders if it will win its first or second game before the bye, not still playing for 1st place. SOJ has overpriced, overthehill, underachievers - not the oodles and boodles of raw young talent of your 2009 NY Jets. SOJ gives Herm Edwards a job AGAIN, not one of the best coordinators in the decade the opportunity to grow as a coach with his new team. People that are giving up this point of the season for the Jets and calling them SOJ must have this team confused with some of the other teams in the area who've won championships in the past 40 years. We finally have a glimmer of hope - LONG TERM HOPE, clearly not an SOJ mantra. What happened? It gets a little smudging on it and we're benching the franchise and firing the coach. Ryan knows the strengths of the teams better than you, me and Joe B, but maybe he doesn't know the weaknesses. Or at least he didn't until the past 2 weeks. Now he knows better than all of us, with time to spare. We all know we had a good running game, and we obviously still do. What we DIDN'T know at all until Week 1 was what we had behind center. Now we do. It needs some work and encouragement, but certainly not banishment. The first two weeks he's in MVP categories and now he's a goat and a bust and belongs in exhile. And that's saying the same for drex who's quickly become de-excrement to the lot of you. The spirit has seriously taken a turn for the worst, and it's WAAAAAAAAY too early. It's like a chunk of this fanbase NEEDS the air raid sirens to find their souls. Joe B is very knowledgeable and always hysterical, but he should not be the voice that speaks SOJ loud enough for so many to repeat it. At least not this early, as in, this year. 3-3 is as good as I thought we'd be. NE and TEN looked like probable losses. Houston's D was being heralded and we were all biting our fingernails on Sanchez, so I was conceding defeat to either Texans or Saints. I know we're better than the Raiders regardless of what I know just happened this weekend - we're kicking their ass for sure. And I'm pretty sure we're going to kill the Dolphins if it's the last game we win all season. Even if it's just Bart Scott or David Harris that's doing all of the killing. So @ 5-3, I'll be in the minority I suppose at the bye. Happy. and I was never happy with the SOJ. Never.
