this idiot used to be intertaining but I cant listen anymore. Truth of the matter is he doesnt know what the fuck hes talking about. Not in this rant specifically but in general, hes a moron.
I like it... 100% correct... COACHING.. It still amazes me that some Jet fans don't get that - YOU DO NOT THROW IN THOSE CONDITIONS WHEN THE OPPOSITION CAN'T STOP YOUR RUN!!! It's so simple. I can hardly even Blame Sanchez.... I pity him for what the coaches did to him this week. Sanchez was hung out to dry.... Simple as that.
Totally agree....I was soooo pissed when we were driving in OT and after the 5 yard penalty we run on 1st & 15 and gain 5 yards...so now its 2 and 10 and Schotty throws the ball and Sanchez gets sacked...WTF...all he had to do was hand it to Jones two more times and the Jets win...he would've either gained the first down or enough yards to make it an easier FG for Feeley.
Benigno is correct with what he said. The coaching was terrible. But in general I can not stand Bengino. He seems like one of those Jet fans who would rather kill the Jets then compliment them. Im not saying only take the positives out of a loss like that but really in general he needs to calm down with his analysis of them. I really think he likes the idea of having the title of "Long suffering Jet fan". The guy basically keeps quiet when the Jets are doing good while constantly reminding people that "bro, there the Jets" and then when the Jets do bad he jumps all over them and then brings up everything bad that has happened to this franchise and talks about how the Jets will never win a Super Bowl. I dont want a guy like that to be considered my "voice" as a fan of this team.
I totally forgot the silver lining in the collapse until I heard Joe B ranting. This almost makes it worth it. Some of my best memories of the Jets are listening to him the morning after yet another game the Jets shoulda, coulda, woulda.
Joe B hit the nail on the head. Say whatever you want but this team is a fucking joke the last 2 weeks starting with the head coach.
After Leon's run we should have just kept it on the ground and hoped for the best, or if anything, thrown a screen to Leon....something high percentage.
Ummm, No. If we could only run for 2 yards THEN you could throw in the Cold and wind with a rookie QB with his 1st time in those conditions... Since we ran at will, there was no reason to EVER STOP. Besides the fact you make Buffalo march the field and probably screw up like they usually do - now with a 3rd string QB.... Instead of handing them the ball 6 times. UNBELIEVABLE that people don't grasp this.... WOW.
Talk about rose colored glasses. The Jets often got stuffed in the running game against the Bills. The gaudy stats came from just a few plays, notably Jones' two long runs. The Jets were in a lot of 2nd and 3rd and long situations. When a passing play is called, it is up to the QB to check down. Any game plan has to include deep routes, or the opposing DB's can just play against the run and the short passing game all day. Sanchez kept going deep. He failed to look for Leon or Jones for outlet passes. Maybe the Jets should have taken a page out of Herm's playbook? 3rd and nine... DRAW!
I agree with everything they said. It sumed up how i felt. It was a total team effort for the loss from the holder to the back up tight end to the qb. except leon and thomas jones. And how can they charge Psl's for this lousy effort they also hit the nail on the head.
I created a thread for this, didn't mean to hijack. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=50088
With the lead in those conditions against a team that blows itself up every week when given the chance, I was SCREAMING for some Herm Edwards draws with Leon!!!! Rex said when he came here that he was going to run, run, run and run some more and just sticking with the run is what sets the tone....
