Sherrill struck Howard out in a huge spot with runners on.

Lidge pitching in the 9th. Dodgers still lead 4-3. Furcal on second, two outs, Ethier up.

Ethier Ks after Furcal took third on a wild pitch.

Furcal stole second as Kemp was striking out, then took third on a slider in the dirt to Ethier.

Ethier took a slider for strike 3 on 2-2, though, and here's Broxton against Ibanez, Feliz, and Ruiz.

    The Zs.

    Phillies win, 5-4.

That's the series, really. Dodgers now down 3 games to 1.

groundout, walk to Stairs, Ruiz HBP, Dobbs lines out, and Rollins hits a gapper. 2 RBI game-winning walkoff double.

Wow!!! Do they have pie in Philly? (or do you get slammed with a cheesesteak?) Phillies get it done! It doesn't look good for Torre & Co.

BTW, listening to Buck Martinez makes me want to order a Jos? Cuervo straight-up.

Not over yet but that's a tough loss. Just like the Jets lining up for the game winning FG and dropping the snap--none of my teams can finish the fucking job this week, except of course Marty Brodeur and the Devils. Thank god for Marty and the Devils.

So who are we rooting for in the World Series? Couldn't be a harder one to watch really, unless of course it was Giants vs Yankees. Go Yankees :drunk::drunk:

Can't give up in baseball until the last out of the last game, as we saw vs the Cards and again last night. I'll probably ignore the World Series if we don't make it and just watch hockey and hoops. The "sweet spot" of the Knicks season is usually opening night through the second week of November before it all falls apart.

So Kershaw is getting skipped, as LA turns to Padilla for Game 5. They can do it on full rest for him because of the nonsensical day off between Games 4 and 5. Hamels for Philadelphia, as they go with the regular rotation. Hamels started Game 1.

Blasphemy. I'll even watch if it's Phillies-Yankees, but I'm not sure what the hell to do if that happens. Root for both teams to lose?

Maybe Bud Selig can come in and declare it a tie.

Hell, I don't even have a team to root for now and I'm still following as much as anyone. I was hoping the Cardinals would go all the way. So much for that.

Padilla is on a roll and on regular rest, Kershaw is much more comfortable at Dodger Stadium and pitched a lot of innings this year at a very young age. I think Padilla is more ready at the moment to face a hostile Philly crowd in an elimination game--just a hunch but Torre must feel the same way.

I'm a Yankee hater and a diehard NL fan unless the Giants are in it, so I know who I'd root for. I just might not watch the games if my team has just been eliminated and I have other teams playing in other sports at the same time. As I mentioned, next week is THE competitive portion of the Knicks season, so I'd hate to miss that.

I'm focused on your avatar.

Except for Sunday night when Kuroda shit the bed the Dodgers have been right in there, just couldn't get the last out the other night or it's 2-2. Games 1,2 and 4 were anyone's game, I'd say they're focused.
