Gholston for Dorsey?

    This was mentioned in the Cimini article. Perhaps its one teams mistake for another teams mistake. Glenn Dorsey was a beast at LSU and is a guy who I think can play end and tackle and Gholston well he's improving but who knows. I imagine the money matches up as they are one pick from each other in the draft.
    We also don't give up draft picks then.

    why would another 3-4 team want gholston?

    EDIT:i had cleveland in mind, forget that.

    Dorsey is a 3-tech, he can't play end, that's what he plays in KC now and he hasn't looked good doing it.

    KC is 3-4 now, too.

    And the other question is...why would another 3-4 team want Dorsey?

    hey there not enamored w dorsey, we are not enamored w gholston thats all. He can play the same position for them as he does here

    Dorsey is another ACL injury waiting to happen. If I remember correctly he had knee trouble coming out of school.

    Looked it up.... and this is what I found....

    October 20 -

    WQAM reports that the Dolphins and Chiefs are close to a deal that would send Dwayne Bowe, and Glenn Dorsey to Miami for 3 undisclosed draft pics. Miami and Carolina are also in talks to send WR Steve Smith to Miami, but Miami is waiting to see which deal will better serve the team. So, expect one of these deals to be announced sometime today before the deadline.

    A trade like that is actually not a terrible idea. If the Jets did want to make a trade to replace the gaping hole that Jenkins leaves the Jets would probably be better suited to look at a trade along the lines of something like this.

    With that said it will never happen.

    Personally, I'd trade our first and something else to Baltimore for Ngata. But that's just me.

    But Gholston's acceleration would blow us through the cap limit for this season.

    On a side note, this is EXACTLY why I wanted the Jets to sign Igor Olshansky this off season. Next time Tanny, listen to me!
