Do we panic and make a move? We are obviously ridden with injuries...and are suffering in stopping the run. What would Tanny do? WWTD!!?
No, we shouldn't look to make a trade. Maybe take a look at any aging veteran free agents who may be available though....
I've said this once..I'll say it a million more times. Unless Tanny is trading for Jesus Christ himself....those 1st day draft picks in 2010 better stay intact.
Trading for a DT would only further complicate the situation we're in. Not at the present, but in the future. We have no depth because of all the trades.
After yesterdays game I think the best this team can possibly be this year is 9-7 even after another addition. So, I would say we stand pat with what we have now and hope for the best. Plus, I really don't know what we can give up to get something, unless we dont want to have any draft picks at all next year.
Better idea - maybe we can take Danny Woodhead and stuff him inside Vernon's uniform. He'd finally heart, and the extra bulk would make him just about the perfect size. Worth a shot.
Woody should use some of his oodles of PSL money and buy some genetic patents so we can splice Little Danny and Baby Steps together into a SUPERJET.
Do we have any second day picks left? I have a bad feeling Tanny will start trading away our day one picks anytime now...
We could probably trade our entire 2011 draft for somebody. Those draft picks are worth at least a bag of socks with the uncapped year looming in 2010.
jenkins is so big he can die and we could still just prop his huge ass up in the middle and clog the holes
even if a trade for a nose tackle comes to fruition......it won't be an impact player. Who in their right mind would trade us a starting 3-4 NT? Even Mangini isn't that stupid...he'll rape Tanny for the rest of our 2010 draft for Rogers....which would be a horrible trade regardless. I'm pretty SURE Baltimore won't part with Ngata.....Jamal Williams in SD is on the IR as well. I hope we stand pat...and sign some guy off the street.....and draft a NT in April.
There's a couple guys in Baltimore that might be on the block. Brandon McKinney is a pretty good nose tackle. He's Kelly Gregg's backup. Also, OLB Antwan Barnes is supposedly on the block. I wonder if Rex might give something up for either of these guys?
