Did the turf have anything to do with the injury? I just can't imagine having someone roll on top of you would cause a tear.
At least this is a lesson for the jets. You can ill afford to lose the cornerstone of your defense and not have a viable contingency plan. Instead they roster 4 QBs. Unbelievable.
If the Ravens lost Ngata, they would be in trouble.. If the Titans lost Haynesworth..... OOPS.... Fact is, it isn't easy to get a dominant DT... Heck, as Jets fans we waited forever.
Sitting on the couch yesterday waiting for the game to start, my chick tells me I have a funny look on my face. I pretty much told her 'Well baby, this is the type of Jets game that scares me. We are playing a crappy team that has nothing to lose, after a big letdown, and even if we win I know there is going to be a serious injury. They always happen in these games.' I hate being right this time.
The worst part about this is we have seen the last of the dominant man in the middle. He MAY come back at some point next year but he will never be the dominant force we have seen from him.
Trading away all our picks for a few players over the last two drafts insured that we are finished this year for lack of depth at the Nose. Our middle is a Rb's dream now. All the blitzing in the world will not make up for this.
^I had almost the exact same conversation when we were up 13-3. I could just feel that the Bills were going to come back.
I thought Mr W'ere going to Run the ball 500 times Rex Ryan would just run the ball the rest of the day and call it a game myself.... WORST COACHING EVER.
Jesus, things can turn around in a heartbeat can't they? I was so high on this team after the three wins, even after the Saints game. Two games in six days and I feel like my heart has stopped beating.
Exactly... I knew it wasn't going to be good in the first qtr of yesterdays game and last Monday night..
This hasn't been reported yet, anywhere, as far as I can tell. And it would have been if it was true.
We have a true defensive minded HC who knows how make the most of our players. Its a crippling loss , but we'll adjust.
But you know it's true don't you. You can feel it. In the twisted little core in the pit of your guts where Jets fandom resides, you feel it.
how the hell do you adjust for losing your most dominating player if you have no one to back him up? you don't adjust. you lose.
