no it wasnt "great" but when you lose in OT and your rookie QB has 5 INT's its pretty obvious the game probably shouldve never gone to OT. then again we were running at will I dunno why they continued to let Sanchez air it out in the wind like that. more importantly losing Jenkins is bigger than losing this game in all reality.
Are you kidding ??? Average to Laughingstock ??? So our #8 ranked defense is Average ??? We let up 1 TD this week even after giving the BILLS 6 turnovers and 15 penalties ... Our offense is offensive at best so far .... Our defense is keeping us in the games ( Except for Miami )
You're probably joking, but Gholston did line up at NT a number of times yesterday after Jenkins went down.
Perhaps we can go with all of that depth Tanny has provided us with over the last several drafts. There has to be a way to cobble together a functional 4-3 unit..
It's funny, I hear fans and pundits calling this a 3-4 defense so often, but when you look at the packages on the field, they run very few standard 3-4 sets over the course of a game. I will miss Jenkins, because I know how dominant he is... but this isn't the end of the season for the defense the way it would have been for a defense run by Mangini. Having Devito in there will be pretty effective. He's much better than Pouha,
I thought the D looked pretty effective after Jenkins went down. Nothing dramatic. But that was Buffalo.
Here is Ryan Fitzpatrick's line from last year's Jets - Bengals game: Att Cmp Yds Avg TD Int Lg Sack Loss Rating Ryan Fitzpatrick 33 20 152 4.61 0 0 16 5 24 71.8 He filled in for Carson Palmer...decent backup...went to Harvard. Year G GS Att Cmp Pct Yds Avg TD Int Sack Loss Rate 2008 13 12 372 221 59.4 1905 5.12 8 9 38 193 70.0 He also rushed for 304 yards and scored 2 rushing TDs... Just saying...he's seen the field...
I was actually more worried when Fitzpatrick came into the game than I was when Edwards was under center. Fitz did well against this defense last season. He's probably the best QB that the Bills have on their roster, I was annoyed when they cut Losman and signed this guy.
schefter(sp?) just said it may not be as serious as rex said it was yesterday. mri later today will obviously tell all.
NEED MRI RESULTS NOW!!!! I can live with 4 weeks out. Raiders + BYE = not essential to have Jenkins. But they will need him for Miami
This injury hurts us but by no means kills us. Other teams have played good D with much less talent. It all comes down to good coaching decisions and smart play. So calm the fuck down already. Some of you need to step away for awhile and stop being whiny little bitches every time we don't play well or get an injury.
Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces baby Jesus, new born, not even spoken a word yet. Please let Schefter be correct.
The wildcat can be stopped without jenkins. Most of the successful plays were out on the edge, that's your DE's and OLB's responsibility right there. Jenkins didn't stop the wildcat last time, what makes you think he alone can stop it next time? It's going to be a team effort with coaches keeping players within the scheme.
