The defense played very well....seriously, how can anyone blame them? I just don't get it. We have to shut people out to be considered a good defense now, i guess.

we lost because of sanchez but honestly even with him struggling we should of won. It was the penalties that were the dagger to the heart. The holding penalty to back us up on our field goal then the pass play called to keep us from getting a few more yards. I guess the snap would of been messed up anyway but still.

Actually smart guy it'll be a 1 team race as your gonna get destroyed by the Saints and then you'll get your lunch handed to you by the Pats. Don't forget your still a few games behind them. I hate Belly but he isn't stupid enough to get beat by that gimmick offense twice.

I think for the little I've seen this is the truth. Jenkins was easily the best player on your defense last time we played you. I know from previous games that Revis is a beast but Jenkins is a one man wrecking crew. You defense is weaker without him.

Jenkins going down = the end of the 2009 season.

Collectively, on the board, we all said this in the offseason..if Jenks goes down, this defense is fucked....and now it's happening. FUCK!!!

It says that they "fear" that he might be out and that it might be so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that hes back after the bye.

    no shit.

I was doing my best to stay positive....but this news broke my spirit. I love the Jets...but i really don't see a silver lining in this situation....we had a HARD time stopping the run WITH Jenkins.....but without him in the starting lineup......oh man, we're in serious trouble.

Honestly if he's gone what Ellis said rings true... guys will need to step up. We won't be the 1st team to ever lose a star player and we won't be the last. I'm sick to my stomach but it's gut check time for Rex and the rest of the guys in the locker room.

Who's gonna step up? Pouha is useless and undersized to play NT.....and Howard Green is begging for change on the street.

This is the WORST injury that could've happened to the Jets this season......by a country mile.

After the sunday night game, they said hes doubtful for next week.

So if its a season ender, it would be a surprise to Bob Costas.

And Bob Costas is never surprised.

Hey you never know.. the 17 Pats fans that existed before 2001 didn't think Tom "Assclown" Brady would lead them to 3* Superbowls?

I'm not pinning my hopes on somebody like Pouha or some guy on the street but maybe the defense as a whoel steps up to pick up the slack. Time for Bart Scott and Calvin Pace and even that waste of space Gholston to earn that paycheck.

    I agree with you, Rich....100%

But i'm not holding my breath.....we saw what our defense looked like without Jenkins before....that's why a whole bunch of us were pining for Tanny to draft some DLine depth in the draft.....now we're gonna pay dearly for that mistake, IMO.

I really hope the D steps up, man......really I do.
