Clemens has nothing to do with this. Of course he lost to a smart vet like Pennington; and Favre and Sanchez were ordained the minute they were signed.

This was Sancho's first game in the cold and wind and he fucked up. He'll learn from his mistakes and move on. You can't bench your rookie franchise QB for having a bad game. You just can't.

Agreed 100%. If its not one unit its the other. We haven't been able to put it all together. We have the talent but do we have the experience(QB,HC) to get it done? The answer to that question will define this season.

make as many excuses as you want, he started 16 whole games at the college level, and the jets expected him to be flacco/ryan. He clearly is not at that level as I wouldve guessed. Does he have a future in the nfl? he very well might. But right now, this is the price you pay for drafting a flash in the pan college qb. Lets see if things work out.

Being a rookie i understand, throwing 5 interceptions........ i can do that. Why the coaching staff doesnt give him high percentage throws.....i have no clue, he is bad and this coaching staff does not help him either

I think the Jets made the right decision to trade up for the #5 pick because it cost us peanuts in comparison to trades in past drafts in similar circumstances. I think the Jets drafting a potential franchise quarterback was also the right decision based on remaining players at the 5 slot and our need for a QB. Whether he works out or not is irrelevant based on everything above. The draft is a crap shoot. When you have the chance to fill the biggest need in all of sports you do it. Hes shown flashes of brilliance and has been exploited for his lack of overall experience. This was his 22nd game as a starter at both the college and NFL level. He has a lot to improve meaning his ceiling is pretty high based on his skill set ,work ethic and lack of experience.

Matt Ryan was much more experienced when he came into the NFL. I think if I was the Jets GM and can go back to the draft I would do it all over again.
