What, Orakpo? I mean, he'll be a fine player, but he'd not be a great fit in the 3-4. If you mean Aaron Maybin...he's not ready. Sanchez was the pick to make, either him or maybe Michael Crabtree, but Sanchez was the right pick. Starting him right away wasn't the right decision, though.
You're right...you definitely have more football knowledge than anyone on this board. John Abraham would've dominated in our 3-4 defense. Also, Darrius Heyward-Bey should've been the pick. He's so fast.

I know you have forgotten more than I have ever learned about the game of football, but I think you are being a bit emotionally unfair to see this situation for what it is. We were blessed to see what we had seen from Sanchez early on the first few games... blessed in that there was an absence of rookie mistakes we'd have to live through. But it was going to come eventually unless he was enroute to be the greatest of all time or something near to it. The truth is he needs more time. Yeah, he looked dejected and pissed after buckets worth of INTs.. if he'd been laughing or smiling you would be on here wrecking him for that. Guy has that bad a game I expect him to not look happy. Yes, we lost a game that we ran for 300 yards in. We also had a key chance to win this game despite everything that happened, and more stupid penalties killed us. There was plenty of guilt to go around in this game. I'm with Mr. E on this one... we need to give this kid time and hope that the coaching staff will look after him physically and mentally.
i woud've taken crabtree and let clemens play one whole yr and see how it went... but we would've never traded up....for him.... i think staying mid round and taking maybin or one of the other prospects would've been fine...and then getting torry holt in fa to replace coles
