We have to hope that this isn't as sever as it sounds now. This defense without Jenkins is nowhere near as good as it is with him, especially in the run game. Jenkins regularly gets 2-3 yards into the backfield and makes the running back stop and change direction.
wtf has been figured out? The D has been great outside of the Fins game. Today was no exception. They were put in a shitty spot all day.
What would be the point? Tannenbaum traded away damn near all of our consequential DP's over the last several seasons trying to "win now"..
I said it during preseason and I'll say it again. Jenkins was too fckn heavy! He was over 360 wasn't he? Even at 360, he's too fckn big. Wasn't injuries his issue as well with his prior team? he should be no heavier than 330. Fact is, this defense can only play 3qtrs before it runs out of gas. Be that a consequence of an braindead OC coupled with a rookie QB or piss poor conditioning, this team still cannot play 4qtrs at a high level and as such, is doomed, once again, to be mediocre. There's no reason why this defense is gassed by the 4th qtr and we're only 6 games into the season.
The NFL has figured out sanchez and Rex's blitz scheme. The thing that scares me is the fact that Rex's blitzs all seem to be the same. On 3rd downs they just try to overload the offense to one side or the other. Last week in Miami on a 3rd down they needed they rolled the pocket which killed the blitz and got them the 1st. Today Buf slide the protection and killed the blitz. Rex better come up with some new stuff because the NFL is catching up to his schemes.
Really? Go look up Lynch's average yards running today, especially since Jenkins left. This defense won't be the same without KJ in the middle.
I agree, we only gave up 13 points in a long, overtime game. If you can't score more than 13 on the Bills, where does that say the problem is?
obviously the D won't be the same w/o Jenkins. I just browsed over real quick and didn't see anything from Lynch except for a bunch of 2 yard gains. One 7 yarder. That was a real quick view. I don't remember getting gauged in the run game at all today.
This was a huge loss and it showed once he left the game in the first half. If he misses weeks due to this injury this team is going to be in alot of trouble.
I knew it. I read his lips while he was on the ground and he said "It's bad." I texted my brother as soon as it happened and wrote "Season over."
Considering the 6 pics and the shitty punt in OT that set the Bills up in great field position they played outstanding. I'm much more worried about the QB and our OC than I am about the D even w/o Jenkins.
Rex said it himself. And I just found this http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?sport=NFL&hl=155725
