The blown coverage on Ginn's TD was bad. There was a miscommunication somewhere. Otherwise, Henne dumped the ball off to his RBs and TEs a lot

^ Yeah I don't count check downs and screens as a good game by QB.

he had one good pass due to miscommunication, and bought time for that 1st down comebacker against Lowery.

he did his job, but by no means was he amazing

I kind of got the impression that Ryan didn't give Henne much respect in preparing for the game. He said post game that the one thing he didn't really account for was Henne being able for throw over 200 yards.

you can afford to blitz as much as we've been blitzing when you have the luxury of having revis, sheppard, and strickland all on the field, healthy, at the same time. they can all play man-to-man very well.

however, when lowery and coleman are out there at the same time, it's a different story.

what was up with lowery giving so much cushion on that last drive, especially on the 3rd down conversion to set it up around the 4 yard line?

Big chunks were screen passes with a ton of YAC.

he had the coverage, and then Henne bought time with that stretch pocket the Fins did and then Lowery's WR came back to the ball.

Exactly. Ricky had 58 YAC on one catch.

When you blitz and play man, you have to get to the QB fast. The Phins and Henne did a nice job of buying time by moving the pocket etc...

I don't care how good your cover guys are, after 3 or 4 seconds guys are gonna get open.

I'm not sure why anyone even responds directly to ekaarons without mockery anymore. This guy's the dumbest poster we have on the board, Jets fan OR troll. He makes Jeaux look like a genius.

Our pass D for the season as a whole has been very good.

Ace o Spades, while Henne might have had a lot of check downs he still found the open receiver which is pivotal in any passing attack. You live to pass another down rather than trying to force throws.

The thing I was afraid of going into this game was how good the Jets normally are on screen passes and dump off throws, which they failed to utilize most of the game. And while you think the Ted Ginn pass was a blown coverage, I see it more as Teddy finally using his speed to blow past the secondary, which he did because there were three defenders behind him on the play.

It wasn't a blown coverage, Revis simply got beat. Watch the video, starting at 1:25-

    http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d8135f914/WK-5-Chad-Henne-highlights

Revis has man coverage on Ginn, who beats the jam and is simply faster than Revis. He had what looks like at least a cover-2 shell over the top of him, which means Kerry Rhodes had the deep half of the field on that side, and couldn't get over quick enough to keep Ginn from getting ahead of him too.

There was play action, but Revis didn't bite- His read was Ginn the entire time. We can't see the safeties to see if they bit, but given that both of them manage to be right there with Revis at the end of the play, it's unlikely.

Henne dinked and dunked all day..that's why he got 200 plus. There O-line just out performed our d-line.

Was it the pass coverage or the pass rush? Henne had way too much time and was way too comfortable on that bomb to Ginn.

I think we need to play every team like the way we play the Pats in terms of Emotion, Intensity, and Execution.

for all of september the Jets were getting to the QB in under 2.7 seconds.

now they have all day. Give Brett Ratliff all day in the pocket and he'll find someone open.

It's official, Lito is going to play Sunday.

That's great news, pushes Lowery back to Nickel, just in time.
