i hate to say it but i agree. i have been telling people all day that we just watched the first game in what will be a physical rivalry for years. we both have young up and coming teams that are capable of beating the pats and their declining dynasty.
As much as it kills me to say this, I agree. No matter how shitty the Raiders are, they ALWAYS seem to give us fits in their house. West Coast road swings have never been the Jets strong point.
NE is not the same as it used to be... randy moss is losing a step, ben coates is getting old, brady is one good hit from being knocked out of the season, belichick has lost all his assistants. buffalo just doesn't have it together....dick jauron will make sure they remain losers for a while. i say miami and ny are the teams to beat in afc east....and i say talentwise, miami might have an edge. i credit them with their oline which is very young, very expensive and full of talent...they're only going to get better, henne will only get more and more time to throw, r.brown and r.williams will get bigger and bigger holes. i think if jets had a better oline that they'd whip miami pretty good.
Equal. Both teams have talent and division games are always close. Anyone within the division could beat anyone within the division. Miami's run game is obviously solid, and Tom Brady is Tom Brady. I expect to beat Miami next time we see them though.
Quote of the day. It can take weeks and multiple great games to have your stock rise in this league and one sorry ass game to fall a mile.
Miami not that good? You got every favorable call everytime you guys got the call and still loss! Your gimmick defense got exsposed, your quarterback might not be what you all hoped he was and I know it hurts guys! LOL. Keep your heads up and stop saying silly things like the dolphins are not better take the "L" and tell Rex the offensive line said hello!
our QB played fine.......nobody is hurt by Sanchez. and if any Jets fan is "worried" about the Phins, they can go check lost and found for their balls. for fans that take a Channing Crowder rally cry about "ota champions" its pretty funny how you guys seem convinced 2-3 is impressive. if your so damn good you wouldve gotten one of those games against the chargers or colts. but no, 2 conference losses in your pocket.
I am scared of no team; it always comes down to on the field execution. Defensively we played a much better game against NE then we did against MIA. Pure and simple, our D got beat quite a bit against MIA. Time to just man-up and focus on what's ahead and execute.
Neither. I'm sure, on the 1st and on the 22nd of November we'll walk away winners. Like a poster above said, Miami played their tails off and our defense couldn't do jack, and still they only beat us by 4 points. Don't get me wrong the better team won on Monday, but the same team will not win at the Meadowlands. Rex was so disgusted with the effort and performance shown by our D on Monday. He will not let that happen again. If Miami had circled 12th of October on their calendar, I'm sure Rex and the Jets have marked the 1st of November on their calendar. They're looking for payback.
Miami played us tougher but NE still has Tom Brady. Needless to say I trust him more over the course of a season than Chad henne.
lol thats what i was thinking. i think were as good as anyone in the league, its just a matter of our offense and defense actually playing up to their potential at the same time. that ive yet to see.
As good as anyone in the league now that is funny!!!!!!!!!!!!! You not even the best team in "Giants stadium"
I think we did that against Houston. Mark was amazing that game and so was our Defense. If we played like that every week we could compete with every team in the league. I think Sheppard and Strickland being out is having a bigger impact then I thought, but still no excuse for this ONE game of lousy defensive play. I still believe the Jets control their own destiny so my choice would be the Jets as well.
Seriously, Ben Coates? He retired like 10 years ago (then again, so did Seau) and didn't even finish his career in NE (I think he played for Baltimore if I remember right). And BTW, every QB in the league - every player, for that matter - is "one hit away" from being knocked out for the season. I'm not sure what makes Brady different in that regard. Anyway, on topic... if I switch this question around as a Pats fan and ask myself if NY or Miami is more likely to take over the reigns, I'd have to go with the Jets (even though the 'Phins won the division last year). I think it comes down to two things - defense and quarterbacking. Ultimately NY will have a better defense, and the old cliche is as true as it gets. And Sanchez probably isn't going to end up being a Manning/Brady type of guy, but I think he'll be very good eventually.
yeah 1 vs 53 would be pretty unfair. your a typical miami fag. theres a very low bar for you here, itd be hard to seriously be bothered by anything youve got to say.
LOL I noticed that earlier I was going to point out the Ben Coates reference lolol. and yeah I'm not worried even though I'm furious to lose to the phins. Im convinced were better. Miami played for their season that night and beat us by 4. I'll believe 4 great games versus 1 bad game as far as our defense goes.
