It was a good call, only when you have the luxury of watching it in slow mo is it the wrong call. It clearly looked like PI when they showed it live. As for the no calls there weren't two many but I think they forgot what holding was. There was a play in which Revis was clearly held by the WR and when they showed it again it was even more convincing...sorry but you can't put your hands under a defenders shoulder pads and grab his jersey. That is holding. It's not what lost us the game and I'm sure they missed some calls the other way too but it's always blatantly obvious when it goes against your team.

And yes it should have been grounding on Henne because as you stated he was still inside both his tackles when he threw the ball. Fasano was the closest guy to the ball and he was 20 yards away from it.

You are correct and in live speed it clearly looked like PI and it was b/c the dolphin defender grabbed his arm which threw off Braylon's timing. It was small but it made the difference in the play, it was a good call.

Watching it live it looked like a bullshit call. I said it as soon as it happened. It was a terrible call. We got a gift and still couldn't take advantage of it because our defense got shit on.

I can't believe I'm saying this but junc is right.

Edwards arm was grabbed/held back as he was about to make an attempt on the ball.

It's right there for all to see.

Was it Ticky Tack? Probably, but there was contact and the arm was grabbed.

Also, Will Allen knew it was PI because he started screaming at the safety for not coming over.

I think what pisses me off is the announcers almost rooting for the Dolphins all night and when this play was replayed Gruden was saying there was an arm bar....

    WTF!
    There was no arm bar!!
That was Edwards trying to get his arm loose from being held!

Will Allen knew he got caught.

Junc is 100% correct. In real-time, that was PI, and the flag was legit.

i don't feel like making a new thread about this, and since we're on the topic of bad calls by the ref, what did you guys think of that one play, i think in the third quarter, where brown ran outta the backfield, we tackled him for a loss, he threw the ball away in a half-assed pass attempt, and it was called an incomplete pass?? if i'm not mistaken, it made the next play a 3rd and 6 instead of a 3rd and 10, and ricky williams got the first down the next play on the wildcat. the dolphins ended up scoring on the drive.

I agree, even slowed down you can see contact with the arm.

While he's diving if that doesn't happen he might make the catch.

That was the missing arm in this equation.

It seemed like a very justifiable call , but I still believe that catch should of been made and the flag wouldn't of mattered at all, Yes many many other things happened in the game but this post is about that call and I believe the call was legit.

It appeared he was down, there were bad calls both ways all night.

The PI call was absolutely legit. Even in slow motion it is blatantly, painfully, obvious that Edwards' left arm is swept away by the defender. That is PI every single time, as it should be.

That was not intentional grounding by Sanchez, it was just Keller cutting the wrong way for like the 10th time on the night.

You never see grounding called when the QB is at the numbers, ever. Good no call on Henne.

Brown was down, but it was only 4 yards, so who really cares?

That definately should have been called that a tackle for loss. Also, the pass that Edwards caught for a TD but was reversed and called down at the 1 was BS. That was definately a TD. I know we scored on the next play but Miami should have lost a TO. That could have made a difference at the very end of the game.

whoever thinks will allen grabbed, hit, ran into, or any other catch-influencing gesture to braylon is smoking dope....it was GREAT coverage; horrible call.

Kinda a toss up on that call. But whats worse is our offense relied on penalties (and fake punts) all night to score.

I guess you don't watch alot of football? Only when the Phins win I'm assuming? Look at the pictures that have been posted twice. It's a clear PI call.
