Some cable networks have it, but I think it's still kind of shaky in your area. Time Warner Cable had NFLN here for a while but I think they had to drop it recently. I know they have it on that AT&T carrier and Dish has it. There's a lot of info about it on the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Network
Yeah, bastards. Give me FOOTBALL! ESPN just doesn't want NYers tuning in to other stations to get sports news untinged with Bradyoukilis taint.
After last week, I was a bit worried about Sanchez having a few more rookie moments and making this into something that could go either way. That said, I think that the Pace factor will be the real difference maker tonight. So long as Sanchez doesn't completely give the game away, I see this being a very long day for Miami. I think Rex will mix in Pace at the perfect points during the game. I also think that Pace is chomping at the bit at this point. This should cause major problems for the Phins front seven and Chad Henne.
It doesn't matter how bad the talent on the phins compares to the talent on the Jets. Our games always turn out to be close. That's what defines rivalry. To analysts this is a classic trap game. Phins come of a division win without their starting QB, the Jets lose a stinker to a good team. The Jets are obviously the favorites because of our records, but analysts get paid to made to make bold predictions. Both teams are looking to prove something, and that's not including the history between the teams and the fact that the fins are a good team, at home, at the begin of the regular season. We've lost alot of games like this before, so it's not out of the ordinary for these predictions.
Analysts get paid to make accurate predictions, they just get more attention by making "bold" predictions.
If they got paid to make accurate predictions most intelligent football fans could become analysts. If you look at the records of most analysts they average about .500. Most of us beat that easily every year.
reporters is more accurate. considering they do the same thing journalists do, but with the credential of "I played the game"
The phins one victory came against a team (buffalo) that is so bad they could only mount 3 points against the browns! Cleveland picked up their first win of the season with their QB completing only TWO PASSES against this bills team! What in the world has miami done to impress any analysts?
You are probably right, but Orton is a proven winner. Even moreso now that he is in Denver. Chicago made a mistake going with Grossman over this guy, and now he is proving it. I can't say they made a mistake going with Cutler, of course they should go with Cutler. My point is that Orton is a Pennington of sorts, a great game amnager that makes few mistakes. The upside to Orton, though, is that he can throw the deep ball.
They have every right to make their bold predictions as much as anyone on this board. Remember we do have RaiderJoe. Granted he's almost never right, but if he gets to spout his shit, I guess it ok to have to listen to "analysts" spout theirs.
Honestly, what difference does it make who picks the Jets to win BEFORE the game??????? Why are Jets fans so hung up on preseason predictions, power rankings, and analysists predictions???? Who cares????? All that matters is what happens on the field. I couldn't care less if the Jets were picked to finish 0-16 in every preseason magazine and internet sight, if they were ranked 32nd in every ridiculously meaningless power ranking , and predicted to lose every game this season. All that matters is the score after the game and the record at the end of the season. Chill.
I've been watching the NFL channel for the past 2 hours and i just cannot believe that every fucking analyst is picking the Dull-phins to win this game! Fins are 1-3 Jets are 3-1, and yet we are not being picked to win this game by anyone! ARE YOU FUCKIN' KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Martz gave some attainable conditions with which the Jets should win. Maybe everybody wants invites from all the "celebrity" ownership the Dolphins have now.
