he was interviewed and they asked about another play that is still in college which he has a personal relationship with. they said that he may have had this player involved with his agent and is still in the NCAA. The NCAA is investigating Deion denied it all but something doesnt feel right
It does, but the 49ers are one team that has had a draft pick taken away in recent years. They lost a pick after it was proven that the organization had tampered with Lance Briggs.
The story doesn't say that the NFL is interviewing Sanders, it says that the NFL Network is interviewing him. The Jets contacting the 49ers (which is what the NFL actually said, on NFL.com) is obviously not tampering in any way. Did anyone hear this interview this morning? Edit: Okay, I listened to the interview. Sanders admitted that he has absolutely no personal information about what happened, and that when he said that other teams were willing to pay Crabtree what he wanted he just made it up. He also said that the NFL has never contacted him about it. Yet another brilliant piece of "reporting" by Cimini.
Wonder why Sanders won't say a word about the other team that "tampered" ... could it be because it was the Cowboys? If there was any evidence I'd say it could and would indicate the Cowboys but you'll never hear Sanders say Dallas tampered.
Sanders has nothing and whoever wrote that is a complete fool..what else is new? At the very most Sanders would only be cognizant to hearsay and last time anybody checked that is as worthless as tits on a bull.
i saw the whole interview on NFLN this morning. that douchebag Jason La Canfora was trying to grill Deion about him mentoring young players and kids coming out of college. much ado about nothing, it was more about Deion and nothing really about the Jets, turns out the 49ers told Eugene Parker (Crabtrees agent) that teams called about trading for Crabtrees rights before the dead line. the whole "i know two teams willing to pay him" remark was based off of Parker telling Deion that two teams called interested and he assumed if they were willing to trade for Crabtree theyd be willing to pay him otherwise why call about the trade? a whole lot of nothing just them coming down on Deion about Dez Bryant. theyre trying to dig and villify Deion for trying to be a role model for young athletes whod otherwise only have their agent and mooching family and friends after them. he stood up for himself and I loved it. eventually everyone will learn to take what cimini says with a grain of salt.
Not necessarily! If it can be proven that a Jet representative in any form has had direct communication with M Crabtree or his idiot agent, that is tampering. The ownership and people like mike singletary will not let this down , nor will they just leave draft choices on the table. If I were a GM of any team I would pursue any avenue which could benefit my team. This truly isn't good!
"Deion Sanders has no knowledge of Michael Crabtree tampering" http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4551117&campaign=rss&source=NFLHeadlines
This is not true. It must be proven that the Jets had contact with Crabtree or Parker that was directed towards the goal of acquiring Crabtree, and without the permission of the 49ers. Basically contact with Crabtree is going to have to be proven because Parker stands to lose more than the Jets if it turns out that they had contact with him and he didn't report it, or worse yet if he initiated contact with the Jets or any other team that did not own Crabtree's rights specifically to discuss Crabtree. De-certification by the NFLPA is the kiss of death for a player agent.
