With Edwards a legit deep threat who will pull a safety into his coverage it's a automatic that the field will be spread. That's all I'm saying. We don't need to line up 3-4 receivers to unstack the box.
Rex has already said about BE "As a defensive coach, if you do not roll your pass coverage toward him, you are asking for big trouble."
BTW, SNY said he will be on at 4. Not sure if that will be in press conference form or an interview. I'll try to take notes.
I say in regards to trading away two picks we trade down in the first to get more draft choices and in benefit we don't hafta pay tha 1st round type money and use it to sign players ( Ex: edwards, leon, mangold, lito, etc)
On the topic of the slot, hopefully they run cotch in the slot in 3wr sets. He can do more damage there.
They definitely will use Keller in the slot several times a game. They have lined Keller up everywhere this season. His longest reception so far came lined up out wide on a safety. He will definitely be splitting slot duties with the other WRs.
I'm not disputing it will happen. I doubt it will be something done more than maybe a couple of times a game. They have lined the FB out wide that doesn't trigger the thought he might begin to be used as a slot.
We will see how this turns out Everyone seems to be extremely happy with this trade. I'm not in that camp. First, Stucky has one less catch then Edwards this year and Stucky doesn't drop balls the way Edwards does. Edwards speed is not in the D Jackson league of the eagles. I think he runs a tad under a 4.5 40. He also drops an inordinate amount of balls for someone who is touted as being a top #1 receiver. In addition his off the field antics will cause serious problems down the road unless he decides to grow up and fulfill his supposed talent. We gave up a very good special teams player, a good receiver and a 3rd round pick which might turn into a number 2 depending on his production levels. I would have preferred to get rid of Brad Smith and give Clowney a shot because of his speed. Anyway, I hope I am wrong and he comes to the Jets with a new attitude because he sure wasn't lighting it up in Cleveland.
