Thanks Lebron to this trade. But what are we going to do wen Lebron comes to the knicks? Trade him? lol
Just ask Tony Romo what happen to him with this whole addition to subtraction thing, he's looking absolutely HORRIBLE since TO left. Regardless I like this move, I think Braylon will be re-born and excited to play for the Jets, he's on a team fighting for the AFC East title, The only thing is developing chemistry with Sanchez, I do believe that the Browns and Jets offense is somewhat similar so the terms could help him adapt faster The more I think about it the more excited I am :jets:
Great Move This is a great move, of course depending on the draft pick compensation. This guy needs a new team, a new town and a new attitude. He may not factor in for the next few weeks but this guy can play, headaches and rops aside. This is a great move.
Edwards is in the same boat as Leon, if theres no cba he is a restricted free agent, so even if he does sign with somebody else we probaly get two first round picks for him which would still be worth the trade.
If the uncapped year does because a reality, LW is going no where and he is not getting the money he wants. and that goes for BE too.
I'm fine with a 3rd and a 5th. Now we can go defense/OL in the first 2 rounds next year. Arthur Jones/Jason Fox plz.
BUT... this probably hurts the knicks chances of getting lebron.. crap and to recap- sanchez and edwards for abe elam, brett ratliff, trusnik, stuckey. wow.
Yeah, sometimes you just have to move on to the next phase. I really think it highly likely that Edwards right now is as thrilled as we are. He needs a new team, and the Jets are a great place for him. He fits in perfectly with what the team needs.
I like this trade. I was a big Stuckey fan but he was really just a number 3 WR and Edwards is a true number 1. He will really help out Keller and Cotchery in the passing game and help the development of Mark Sanchez. I just hope he doesnt throw off team chemistry.
Actually, I think this helps the Knicks. Athletes are egotistical. LeBron would probably love to come here and upstage Edwards again.
The team chemistry thing is where changing out Mangini for Ryan comes in. I have MUCH more faith in Ryan's ability to help Edwards fit into this team.
I just heard on the 2-minute drill on Sirius NFL Radio that they have a report saying it was a 3rd and 5th round pick. Let's hope Braylon and Mark can buld chemistry without the Sanchez-Cotchery connection being too badly hurt.
The problem is that if you look at drops per attempt, Edwards' percentage is through the roof. I went through and did the math one day. I'll see if I can find the post. Like I said yesterday though, it's not like our receivers are catching everything in sight.
Depends on the CBA negotiations. If there is no salary cap, then you need 6 years to be an UFA. If there is a salary cap, then yes, he will be an UFA.
Handle with care. http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/blog/index.ssf/2009/10/braylon_edwards_latest_inciden.html
