Also, with trading out 2 and bringing in 1 we now don't need to cut anyone to get Pace back on the roster.
he can play Monday I owuld think no? We can line him up and have him run straight down the field without knowing the playbook no? Miami still has to cover him
His 07 season was fucking beastly. Maybe he just needed a change of sceneary, He has the speed, Size and big play ability seems like the dropped passes were just a mental thing. Hopefully coming to NYC and leaving Ohio will do him good.
Nice to see someone isn't blinded by his 1st round draft status. Since coming into teh NFL, all he's known for is dropping passes, getting into trouble, and not working hard.
Edwards will be on the field Monday night. Bank on it. He may even be thrown the ball once. He will be a great receiver and if he isn't he won't get resigned. That's why he wasn't given a deal. This is intelligent. If he doesn't work, or becomes a headache, the Jets will let him walk. We pick a WR in the draft with one of our early picks. If he works out, next year's draft is all depth in a deep draft.
It actually makes great sense for the Browns ---- this was Edwards last year of his contract --- he was going to be an un-restricted Free Agent after the season was over, so the Browns wouldn’t have gotten anything for him ----- they never had any intention of re-signing him. So, they get something for a player that they were going to lose to FA after the next 12 games anyway.
if edwards gets his focus on track, this is the type of player we'd have: I mean, yeah, he has some off the field trouble, and he's had 2 down years (how much of this is down to the shotty qb play in CLE), but there's no doubt he has the talent. It's there; he just needs to work on his focus and concentration on the game and not fuck around. Im sure with Rex and Bart here, they'd never let that happen. Stuckey was good, but c'mon, you give him up in a deal like this 9 out of 10 times (with the 10th time throwing in clowney instead lol).. aren't you guys happy?? like i said before, talent wise this may be the truest #1 WR-type we've had since keyshawn was here, and that was 10 years ago.
He'll definitely play Monday- Most routes are the same anyway, he'll just have to learn the language. WR is probably the only position where the transition would be quick enough for him to be effective by Monday.
Not for nothing but 2007 was also the last year the Browns have even had decent QB play. Look at the Qb play from last year and this year and it is no wonder that Edwards hasn't produced much. I would have to imagine that Edwards is doing cartwheels to the airport right now.
I'm going to ask again and hope to receive the benefit of the more knowledgable. Does this mean Clowney is our slot guy? Or will it be Smith?
Absolutely!!!! They were just saying that on the radio...and I agree. They are 2mil apart... are you kidding me? GIVE HIM THE MONEY AND CUT THE SHIT! I say this year in and year out, the JETS never pay their young talent!!!
