Jets trade for Edwards

i love this board!!.. no matter how fast you find new information.. it gets on here first haha.. just read that neither of the pick are better than a 3rd rounder.. and its already posted like 5 times..

 

why -- should teams give away their players to the jets for nothing? Edwards is aan excellent wr.

I gues that closes that. That sucks. I'm happy to get Edwards but not happy to give up Stuckey.

 

The funny thing is mangini probaly thinks he won this deal.

Im worried about this deal because i'm afraid of how much time it will take to learn the playbook. When Roy Williams got traded in midseason last year he did nothing. The deal will ultimatly come down to how high the draft picks and what year. They might be spread out like 2 2nd rounders in 2010 and 2011 but what would be a tanny trade without conditional picks.

Edit: Never mind about the picks great deal for the jets if its just a 3rd and a 5th. Now in the draft we can focus on getting a defensive end.

I don't mind at all though. Edwards, Cotchery, Keller, Leon. That's 4 legitimate receiving threats. Welcome to single man coverage boys!

Well you may have gotten yer wish; it's being reported both ways now. So i dont know if Stuckey is staying or is gone.

Your preachin to the choir there, I'm a firm believer that Proven players are worth more than any unproven pick.

The Problem is, is Edwards really proven?
1- 1000 yd Season,
Off the field Issues,
Drops passes....

I mean shit, 4 players for that...he better be worth it.
I think people will realize that this may not be a 'steal' after all is said and done.

 

what makes more sense though.. is there has to be a condition pick.. like a 3 or 4 that could end up as a 2...

 

I don't like it. A 3rd by itself should have been enough for this guy, let alone 2 players and another pick.
