    Per Yahoo Sports-

"? RB Shonn Greene, who re-tweaked his ankle at New Orleans, is ?fine,? according to Rex Ryan. Expect him to continue to get some carries as the Jets like what he brings to the table, some power plus a better bust than veteran Thomas Jones(notes)."

I would not be surprised at all to see him running against the Phins. He ran for half the offseason with that ankle injury. They only took him out when his ribs were hurt.

Time to start running with Greene. If he is healthy it is his turn.

Agreed, he hit the holes much harder then Jones, and he needs a legit shot at this.

To me it was like night and day watching him, then Jones. Greene wasn't going down easy either, I know it was only 4 carries, but a impressive 4 carries.

Greene did hit the holes faster. It is critical in the NFL to do this because at the speed at which D plays, the holes are only there for a split second.

You know I just had a thought. I think it would be really kind of fun to see some runs designed around having Jenkins as a guard or tackle. He would just have to learn not to use his hands, but I bet he could do it. The guy is such a beast. I know, they will never do it.

I have Green in FF and have looked at him as a potential keeper.

Any insight? Are the Jets saying he may be more involved in the next few weeks? Should I hang onto him for a while? I've got the roster spot...

I love the way he runs, but up to this point I have to look at him as an injury concern. He got an ankle in camp and placed with it during preseason, and then in PS week 2 had a rib injury that took him out until the regular season. He had 4 really nice runs on Sunday, but re-injured it and who knows how healthy he will be against the Phins.

Rex is very high on the guy if you go by his pressers, and if he can stay healthy, he's the guy that's replacing TJ. He's good. Just not healthy.

I'm not sure what to call it, but Greene has that special "rookie" running back ability. He just seems to want to make something happen and go all out on every play. He was really hitting the holes hard and was a straight north/south runner. Maybe Leon and Jones were getting too comfortable back there and needed the rookie to come in there and show them the type of dedication and effort required for every play- and it seemed to work

    LOL-

I hate to say it, but I'm about 75% there too.

If he can break one tackle this season he might get the game ball.

Shonn Greene bus is warming up and I'm hopping on. (in non-gay way)

He is a good keeper in deep leagues. I tried to get him as well in one money league but was out bid on the my last pick of the day. Thought I could sneak him by everyone. It won't take much for him to unseat Jones.

The only thing Greene showed me on Sunday is that he is fragile, but I would still like to see him get more carries, TJ hasn't done anything.

I just want him to get more playing time so I can justify buying his jersey!

Funny but I was calling for more running plays this week as well. Has anyone gone back to see what kind of defensive fronts NO put up when it was third and short? Schotty opted to pass on most of them so I am thinking they were taking the run away.

I am with Faneca on his cirticism of the play calling but like I said, I would like to see the defensive fronts.

Shaun Greene looked pretty good. I am thinking his rib injury was a little worse off than Rex thought since he was out. He hit the holes and fought for a few extra yards. Promising first few touches. Rex made a point of praising Greene and asked if there were plays installed where Greene was in on passing downs. Guess to make it look as if he is not a one trick pony when in the game.

He has the opportunity to learn from Jones and Leon which should help his development as the season progresses.

I think a couple of the those passes were audibles called by Sanchez but yea, those passes were odd. Hopefully he gets some more carries against the Phins.

I have him on my team too, but not a keeper league. I am just waiting for him to explode with TDs, I know it's going to happen. Hes going to fit in nicely at my flex by seasons end.

Our offense was so one dimensional due to an infective run game. I cant say shonne green was a difference maker , but he sure ran through the holes that opened up ; on what I'm sure were plays where he knew right where to run. The question his runs opened up for me is it that hard to follow your blocks .......TJ????
