Quarterback Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets is the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on Sept. 27-28, the NFL announced Friday.

Sanchez completed 17 of 30 for 171 yards and two touchdowns in the Jets' 24-17 win over Tennessee, becoming the first rookie quarterback to start and win his team's first three games of a season in the past 40 years.

Good for Marky Mark. We really need him to step up and have another ROW performance against New Orleans tomorrow.

I am willing to bet that we lose tomorrow if he doesnt go on to win the award for the 4th straight week.

I think he means that we are going to need a big performance out of him to win, a performance big enough to win the Rookie of the Week again.

all it really takes is for him to score more TDs than picks and have the other nominees to not have amazing games and he'll continue to win all of them.

i think he'll have 9 when its all said and done.

Now that I think about it, Sanchez really hasn't had a bad game yet. Atleast not in the regular season. Even good quarterbacks have bad games, like I'm hoping Brees does tomorrow. Boy is this board gonna' go ape shit when he has his first bad game!
