Just got done watching the press conference for today. Both guys are listed as OUT for Sunday's game against the Saints.

This could end badly, but I guess we'll find out.

The league should just let us bring Pace back a week early as compensation for the injuries. lol.

No other real important notes from the press conference, it was mostly mindless banter.

I would imagine not. but we'll figure something out. I was thinking more along the lines of getting a quicker edge rush to compensate for the lack of coverage... but it was obviously a joke anyway.

Considering Lito misses this game and doesn't play at all the Eagles lose their chance at a higher pick for him. I wouldn't be laughing

I remember hearing that the conditional draft pick sent to Philadelphia was determined based on games played / games started... does anyone remember any articles giving specific details on that?

The Jets surrendered two draft picks for Sheppard - a fifth-round choice in the upcoming draft and a conditional pick in 2010 that could go as high as a second-rounder or as low as a fourth, depending largely on playing time.

I forgot it was a conditional pick. I'd rather give them a high pick and have him on the field though.

The conditional pick depends on if the Jets use the 10 million option (to automaticly extend his contract) or not... We are pulling a Vilma on the Eagles. If we wait until FA to re-sign Sheppard we owe nothing to the Eagles even if we play Lito every game.

Revis can handle Colston. Henderson/Moore/Meachem is going to be a problem.

I'd like to know what's so special about Meachem..personally he doesn't scare me one bit

Henderson, Colston (even with Revis on him), and Moore (if he is healthy back to his form of last yr) scare me a whole lot more

If Rex Ryan can muster something up to get a W come Sunday, I will be the first in line to fellate Rex Ryan, no homo. Easily...Coach of the Year honors for this man in my book. I'm going into this game optimistic he will put something together, but I'm also bracing myself for our first loss this week.

But who knows...stranger things have happened. I say we will still fucking win. Fuck the Saints.

    They're faaaaaasssttt.

I can def see Lowery getting beaten deep. Coleman is the worst at biting on double-moves. It's going to be a long day if Brees connects on those long TD passes.

First sign of trouble and the SOJ attitude returns.

It's the system as well as the players. We are still going to knock Drew around and we still have good coverage out there.

The Jets defense is still going to dominate this weekend, especially on Sunday.

It's not about being the SOJ. It's about recognizing that without Lito and Strickland, our 2ndary isn't as great. That's obvious. New Orleans is a high-powered balanced offense. It's going to be hard to cover everyone because Brees distributes the ball so well. I haven't take us out of this game, but I'm bracing myself for the worst. That's all. I still think we have a chance to win this game. I don't know how, but I do.

Sucks to lose 2 guys at the same position but every team has injuries and it's not like either of these guys is a Pro-Bowler. This is why depth is so important and thankfully the Jets have decent depth at the position. No excuses...
