Anyone else think this line is a little high? I would have expected something more along the lines of Saints (-4) or Saints (-4.5)

I'll take the Jets and points :)

The line started at 6 and a half, so I guess word got out that the Jets secondary is banged up and might be understaffed on Sunday.

That makes sense I guess but why did it start at 6.5? Just seems too high to me.

The Saints have been crushing everyone since preseason and it's in New Orleans. This is no surprise at all.

have to say I think its fair. At home , offense is immense at moment and our seconday is banged up. I am a betting man and if given $10 wuld put it on the saints -7 at this point ( cue numerous posts insulting me!!)

I think the line is accurate and fair, but I also think that Bart Scott and the defense are going to use it as bulletin board material. Kerry Rhodes seems pretty pumped on Twitter, saying he's "sick and tired of hearing about New Orleans and their offense."

I think New Orleans is definitely the kind of finesse team that can be hit out of the game, but at the same time, they just have so many weapons, it's going to be pretty tough to account for everyone. If we win this game, it will be monumental.

That should mean it goes down now that Ryan will be sending 10 monsters to smash the midget.

Man I'm really debating if I should bet on this or not. -7 seems wayyy too high, but the DB situation really scares me. If the secondary was healthy I would definitely take that bet.

I think that -7 is a fair line. The Saints have the best offense in football, the Jets have a bunch of injured defensive backs, the game is being played in the Superdome. I would've expected Saints (-6.5) but I can buy a touchdown.

Being played in the superdome also helps Sanchez, don't underestimate that.

everyone is picking the Saints...espn, yahoo, which is like 15-20 "EXPERTS"

then again, we were pretty much picked to lose every week this season. but this week i don't think i've seen one person predict the Jets.

then i was watching ESPN first take this morning. Skip Bayless says the 7 should be higher because the Saints will win by at least 10. Michael Smith agreed.

then they had another guy who was with Derrick Brooks. they were going over all the 3-0 teams and this other guy said the Jets would not make the playoffs. he then said the texans would make the playoffs...

jets still not getting much respect. who else do we need to beat? i bet we could beat the saints and people would pick us to lose @ MIA on MNF with Henne as starter. The reasoning...Mark Sanchez is a rookie on the road...hahha

It really isn't out of the question. They don't have an awful defense like last year and we don't have an awesome offense.

this isn't shocking. Saints at home and they average 40 pts a game. The line is totally fair.
