No air raid sirens at the Stadium today?

I doubt the annoying-as-hell PC Richards whistle will go away as long as they're doing Jets bobbleheads.

I was looking forward to the air raid sirens and was disappointed when I didn't hear them.

People complain about getting cheerleaders. People complain about air sirens. Are there still douches who yell at people to "Sit down and shut up" when people get excited?

God forbid we act like a real football team with real fans. Pittsburgh has those stupid towels. Seattle blasts crowd noise through their sound system. Oakland games are like Halloween in a S&M dungeon.

The air sirens had the crowd going bezerk last week. This week's crowd seemed more subdued on tv (I have no idea how it was there though.) I want the fans to be nasty, just like our team. I want the audio guys to be douchetastic towards our opposition. This is the Rex Ryan Era. The time to be waiting for 4:30 left in the 4Q to run for the parking lot is done.

I can't wait for the Buffalo game. My brother told me yesterday he should be able to get me a ticket. I'm ready to lose my voice!

I'm not going to get on the crowd this week, it was nasty weather, which will take the energy out of any crowd, and they were still louder than I remember them being all of last season.

If I had to guess, I'd bet the Port Authority told the Jets to stop it because the siren was only to be used in emergencies and might confuse people. I don't know exactly who would be confused, but national security paranoia has gotten stupid lately (no toothpaste on the plane for you!!)

It was still a good crowd, the Stadium and team got deflated in the 2nd and 3rd qtr but overall the crowd was still very good- not like the NE game but still very good.

Honestly, I didn't mean to sound like I was knocking the crowd at all. As my wife said "I've never heard the crowd like this before" (including last week) to which I responded "Me either."

My only complaint is that people are always looking for reasons why we shouldn't act like a NFL franchise. People knocked getting cheerleaders like they take away from the game. There are people whining about the noise from the air sirens. Every single time I've attended a Jets game some assclown has yelled at me to sit down and shut up.

As far as the crowd, they were deflated yesterday in the middle of the game when the Jets were faltering, which is understandable. But they got back into it in the 4Q, when the team really needed that boost.

That's why I'm looking forward to attending the Buffalo game. This is the best Jets home crowd I've ever seen, and I can't wait to be a part of it!

Awesome game yesterday. The crow did die down between the 2nd and 3rd quarters. I realized yesterday my seats in the upper primes are where a lot of the ol' school folks sit at. So the marjority of the time, tballlz, myself and some other young dude about 4 rows above me had to get people to stand up AT LEAST for every 3rd down in the 2nd and 3rd. The 4th quarter tho, totally different. It got pretty loud. Not as loud as NE, but it did the job.

By the way, I didn't hear the sirens yesterday. They did play some other form of sirens tho. They weren't too loud.

I did like the 300/Braveheart video they showed right before the Titans last drive got underway. That got me pretty pumped and our section started beating the hell out of the seats in front of them.

They used something, but it wasn't the same noise. It sounded like a fire engine? A locomotive? Couldn't figure it out, but it wasn't as loud. And yeah, the league probably got some complaints from the faggot losers in NE.

A train sound? We're not the god damn trains! The air raid plays so well to our team. It lets the opposition know the JETS are coming!

Oh, and no bobbleheads this week either.

I am emailing the Jets and requesting (nicely of course) if they can continue the air raid sirens. I ask anyone who appreciates them do the same.

I contacted the NJSEA community affairs and received a message stating to contact the Jets directly about the sound effects during the game.

I had already done so but was trying to cover all my bases.

I missed hearing the air raid sirens as well.

There is no way the crowd could constantly be as loud as the Pats game, that was eight months of off-season and years of hate and losing to the same team all coming out at once. We will be loud as long as we're good, but maybe not to the level as the Pats game, in my opinion.

I think the crowd will be loud when the defense needs a stop. Basically, any/every 3rd down and whatever. If it's a close game, the crowd will be going ape shit in the 4th. Pretty much what you saw against the Titans. But I'll take it. This is the most involved I've ever seen this crowd. If this is the most consistency we can get for an entire season, I'll be happy with it.

Yeah, no doubt. Especially being ahead with the D on the field. What I noticed Sunday was it started on 1st down, built up louder on 2nd and peaked on 3rd down, way better than in the past. It helps when the D actually responds and doesn't give up a huge 1st down, which always used to take the air out of the place and wear us all out by the second half.

All I'm saying about the New England game is that was a lot of emotion and pent up hostility and frustration being unleashed on a hated rival. It would be hard to get that kind of emotion from 80,000 of us all the time, that was a product years in the making. The only times we beat them was on the road, we waited years for that.

i sent them a message too.

"I loved the air raid sirens from the Patriots game. I think it should be the new staple of our stadium ambience aside from the J-E-T-S chant.

Its empowering, it gets the fans even louder, and furthermore it sends the message to the opposing team that your in OUR house.

Remind them that no win comes easy when you come to play the Jets.

Also, as a sidenote it fits in perfectly being that we are the Jets, an Air Raid siren couldnt be more fitting. We are going to war on the field!!!!!!!!"

i hope they bring back the exact one from the pats games.
