The truth is the jets were a little shaky this week. Mike needs to create drama or no one watches his show. He needs to make something out of nothing. But sanchez really needs to tuck in that ball. We've been really lucky with his mistakes so far.
Britt lead them in recieving with 59 yards!!! are you serious?!...and please, there are alot of people ripping Sanchez...hes a rookie!!!!!!!!! against one of the best D's in the league, seriously, the Jets win two games and they think that he wont make rookie mistakes...look at the numbers... so far, his rating, yds and probably tds are all DOUBLE of what Flacco and Ryans numbers were at this time last season...
Mike is a friggin hypocrite. He is saying things like "finally the Jets defense showed holes". When the Patriot teams went undefeated..they showed holes too. Every good team gets tested and besides the Pats..everyone loses. I could easily be wrong but yesterdays game was just as impressive as the week before. The Jets talked shit for 3 months leading up to the Pat game..the whole season was the Pat game. Let down was written all over yesterdays game. A desperate Titan team. Yesterday was a game we lose but we won..its a cliche but its a fact.
Sigh. You guys realize that you are playing EXACTLY into his hand, right? He does this to garner attention and gain ratings. He blasted the Giants throughout the playoffs in 2007, it was always the other team giving the game away and the Giants just managing to stick around. He panders to the oversensitive side of every NY fan. I know you don't like it, but he's managed to make a career out of it. And yes, it pisses me off too.
This stuff is what sells. Its bulletin board material that people discuss all the time. Thats the whole purpose. Even here in Dallas, they always have two hosts that disagree with each other on every single issue. Its their job be like that. One has to become an asshole to get his pay.
Good point. I didn't hear Francessa but I'm really surprised he couldn't talk about the Jets' performance yesterday without emphasizing negatives. Yesterday's game was nothing but positive, the way they fought off the Titans resurgence and were able to turn the momentum back around again and find ways to win. THAT'S WHAT GOOD TEAMS DO, RIGHT MIKE?
When you're feeling good he finds a way to shit all over you. It's just how he works. Right now the Jets' frenzy is at more of a fever pitch than the Giants' reciprocal. Francessa sees this and he knows the way to get Jets' fans to call in is to find some fault in their winning (thus starting the ZOMG, he sed MEAN things about teh JETS!1! response that we've seen in this thread) while not actually going far enough to establish himself as a non-fan. He also knows if he pays attention to the Giants' fairly predicated win will irk Jets' fan more. Agony and frustration gets more attention than euphoria, it's just how we're wired. Oh! And for everyone saying "the Giants haven't beaten anyone" argument, we just play the schedule we're given. And when you play a bad team you want to dominate them; the Giants made Tampa look like they didn't belong anywhere NEAR a football field.
Did Tank really expect the Jets to be ultra impressive every single game? He makes like the Jets were supposed to be some juggernaut that was unbeatable. Before the season he said if everything went perfect they are a 8 or 9 win team. When the Giants were gift wrapped that Dallas game the other day why didn't Tank bash them?
now he's making excuses for the Giants having lower TV ratings then the Jets. Who cares? this guy just hates the Jets for whatever reason. He's always so soft on the Giants and very nice even when they play bad but the Jets, nope...destroy them on wins!
Yes he did. He said they should thank Tony Romo because without him they lose by two TDs. He said outside of Romo they got dominated. I started to get mad, then I remembered who I was listening to. And Francessa did say he thought the Jets would have a good defense. He's not sold on Sanchez yet and, like any sports persona, he won't talk about it because he'd have to admit he was wrong.
he wasn't that harsh on the Giants though. He is destroying the Jets after a win. And he hates Mark Sanchez. IDK why. Even in week 1 when he was amazing especially on 3rd down he said he didn't play that well.
I am sick and tired of listening to him down play what Sanchez does each week. He keeps saying the kid did no play great. Someone needs to have him quantify in his eyes what "great" play by a rookie QB is. Having a rookie complete close to 60% of his passes, have more TDs thand INTs, demonstrate such tremendous poise and win his first 3 games is great no matter how you slice it. Especially the winning of his first 3 games, no other rookie QB has done that since the merger. Sanchez is also ranked in the top half in passer rating above the likes of Rivers, Romo, Brady, Palmer...etc. If that's not great play thus far by a rookie QB, what is? Someone should also tell him to go eat a d!ck and choke on it. If this was Eli doing this his rookie year, he would have been masturbating to the highlights on Mondays.
