Jeff Fisher impresses me as a no nonesense really sharp Football mind. There is no doubt listening to that interview that Fisher respected Francessa and probably knows him.

The guy has a show and hard opinions that piss people off get ratings. He is also a huge Giants/Yankee fan which translates to Jets/Mets fans to a basic hate toward him that has little to do with his actual knowledge of the game.

It is what it is I think he knows the game and has a bias against the Jets relative to the Giants and Pats that you have to ignore or take with a grain of salt.

I despise Francesa just a peg under what I think of the Pats and Brady.

Are you kidding me? If you don't think Francesa knows football, you aren't listening cause he knows the game in an out. Listen, I didn't like him calling Scott out during his tv show and I thought he did over do the Sanchez not holding the ball stuff, like it was some chronic thing. But he does know the game.

If you think the Giants schedule is nearly as tough as the Jets schedule Junc...Im not sure where you are going with this. I really do not care how many wins teams have up to this point...all I know is the Giants played one of the worst, if not the worst team in the NFL yesterday and Fran comes out with elite after THAT game.

I saw a Giant defense give up over 200 yards rushing..closer to 300. Elite is not a word I would use for that team just yet.

They beat a Redskin team that lost to the Lions..yes..the Lions. Im not sure what you are talking about here.

Sure he knows the game very well, but Francesa's "Holier then Thou" arrogance is suffocating.

Last Wednesday I finally snapped and can no longer listen to him. On the drive home he went on and on for 20 minutes about the Judy Garland concert he went to when he was 11. From what she was wearing to where his seat was. I wanted to blow my brains out. Yankees/red sox, jets/giants 2-0 and this asshole is babbling about a concert in the 60's...

I just read his post and what I find interesting is that he is saying you can't base anything on the expectations of teams to begin a season and then goes and does EXACTLY that when he talks about the Giants. How else could he come to that conclusion.

I think Junc is in a stir the pot mood today.

Lets face it...Im a Yankee fan and I know what Fran likes to do. He is extremely smart and entertaining. He will on occasion, go after the Yankees..but its all bone throwing. He said in the beginning of the year that the Yankees looked old and finished when the Red Sox dominated them.

Fran is not God. Its still a safe bet to think the Jets will tumble a bit this year. I don't believe that..but its the NFL. One team wins the super bowl and a ton don't.

While I agree the Jets cant be labeled an elite team yet...neither can the Giants with wins against the Redskins who lost to the Lions..the Cowboys...who they surrendered 251 yards rushing...and the Bucs..this years version of the Lions.

Quite honestly...I do not see an elite team yet in the NFL.

I didn't say which was more difficult, just pointing out that we really don't know how difficult either sched is. I think ours has been tougher but what if Hou and ten tank? then that is just like Wash and TB.

The Giants played a bad team but they completely dominated them. Ne almost lost to Buf at home and TB was in their game w/ Buf at halftime. I hate the Giants mroe than any team but it's not crazy to call them elite despite what looks like a soft schedule to start the year.

The Lions aren't the 2008 Lions.

They may not be the 2008 Lions..but they are not far removed. If we are going to call an elite team an elite team this early..then we are going by past accomplishments. The Lions have lost by 13 to the Cowboys, 13 to the Bills? and 24 to the Giants. They are horrible.

Before the Buc game..the Giants squeezed by the powerhouse Redskins by 6 and beat the Cowboys by 2. If we are not talking about the past..not sure how the word elite can be used for the Giants. They might be. Haven't pr oven that yet to me at least..and either have the Jets.

There are no elite teams in September. Teams are a work in progress ever year.

Neither team has played a particularly tough schedule. At best both teams have faced one good opponent, we faced a banged up Pats team at home and they faced a pretty healthy Dallas team on the road. How good either one of these teams really is right now is going to be determined in November and December.

If you were doing a power ranking right now for this year based on what you know about this year and what you know about the players on both of these teams you can't ignore recent history, 08 and 07 after 3 games in September.

I love the way the Jets have played so far. You can't help but be excited about Sanchez and the way the D is playing. You also can't rank the Jets performance to date in September as better than the Giants, Saints, Baltimore or the IND for that matter.

Hopefully in early January we get a chance to show the Giants what elite means.

If the pig knew football so well he'd understand that the good teams in the league are the teams that win when they have bad games.

As Jets fan, we should understand better than most that the bad teams lose the close games, no matter how hard they play and try... something always goes wrong.

Mistakes or not, the Jets are a better team than the Titans right now. And Fatcessa is still a pig.

I will give it to the pig though, he's much better off without the idiot by his side.

I agree with everything you said here winston except one thing. While I agree you shouldnt totally disregard the past, at some point you have to. After 3 games..that might be too early. If we are going to say both teams have not played a tough schedule up to this point..then we are disregarding the past.

The Titans are 0-3. They had lost two games by a combined 6 points. They were 13-3 last year. The Patriots without Brady were 11-5. The Texans were 3rd in total offense last year.

The only way we can say the Jets have not had a tough schedule so far is to disregard the past...totally disregard it.

While I agree..the Giants have the trophy..the past...lets remember...the year they won the super bowl, almost everyone had them picked for last place that year.

I would feel pretty good by years end if the Jets had the Giants on the menu.

I totally agree you can not rate the Jets higher then the 4 teams you mentioned above....but except for the Ravens and Saints...we are making that judgement strictly on the past.

It sure has been a fun rid so far though! You and I go way back with this team..it has a different feel to it I must admit.

I was pretty convinced when we were 8 and 3 and the Giants were 10 and 1 after 11 last year that we were going to meet them late in the year.

    francessa bashing jets HARD

hes just opened his show and is utterly bashing the jets, saying they got whipped and sanchez cannot protect the ball, just basically telling us he hates the jets. He also said the Jets game got better ratings then the Giant game yesterday and he was pissed about it. He said it only happened because the giants game was unwatchable. This guy is a jerkoff
