Revis got picked on today. Surprising. Someone forgot to tell Collins that Lowery and Coleman were covering the other WR's.
if the field wasn't wet, i dont know if any of those receivers get any separation. for most of those catches against him, collins had to throw PERFECT balls because revis still had really great coverage on those throws. a ball less perfect, and it's an incompletion or a pass def. and this was with a sorta wet field. if the field was dry and revis' feet were fully set i dont know if collins has room to even make those perfect throws.
collins had a nice stretch where he was deadly accurate. he made a few passes right on the money, but once he lost the touch revis was all over his man.
i don't remember which receivers caught which balls, but i know that 4 times he covered the man who caught the ball, and then he brought him down immediately. he allowed just as much to Andre Johnson and Moss. Praise Be.
^ That is great. That's about the crux of it. There were a couple mental mistakes by Revis, but mostly, Collins just made excellent throws and it's a bit too much to ask for a guy to be perfect when the turf is soaked. Wideouts have a difficult enough time making their cuts in conditions like that, and they actually know where they're going. Revis came through when it mattered.
all praise be to revis christ. this weeks sermon will be of the utter domination he displays as he shuts down drew brees and his aformentioned "colston vision" that he has develop. in the name of revis christ, amen
amen indeed. i can tell that the next service will be very intense and powerful. The one they call "Drew Brees" will bow to our lord at the end of this game
