On Chris Johnson's 30 yard run in 4th quarter, I think it was Gholston who hustled back and chased him down. Yeah, I think the play was run to Gholston's side, but that was damn good hustle because otherwise I think it was the tying TD. No, I don't think Gholston has earned his $$$ yet, but if that was his tackle, it saved us today.
It was Gholston. They ran right at him and to his credit he didn't give up on the play. If he doesn't make that tackle, we might have been watching OT right now.
Not to mention he had a big pressure on the Harris INT, I see improvement, still a bit ticked, but still believing he is going to turn the corner. I think he needs Pace though, because he gets doubled a lot. I think seeing a guy like Pace in this defense will really help him.
Happy for him... god, with Rex's organized chaos it's so hard to understand who the heck is on the field
Probably the best game of his career. Of course, some will point out that he still stinks for a #6 overall pick, which at this stage is besides the point.
For a guy that really hasn't done much in the league, opposing OLs really seem to focus on him. The kid gets doubled an awful lot during the course of a game, and even that's a big improvement over last year's inability to even get on the field.
My biggest fear is that it will all finally click for Gholston in his "contract year" and the Jets will be placed in a very difficult position because of it.
Yeah I've noticed that. That in itself is an improvement lol. But why?..Gholston hasn't proven anything
