What were those masks some fans wore?

    Excuse my ignorance, but what the hell were the masks they kept showing in the crowd? Some were matched with sombreros so I'm assuming there's a Mexican connection (Sanchez)?

    I think they are Luchador wrestling masks, since we as a fan base seem to have to make a huge deal out of his racial heritage.

    Thanks! I've read that he became a vocal leader in the Mexican community in California, so I assume he'd be okay with that sort of thing here, as long as the stereotypes don't get out of hand, that is. Last week we saw a guy with a sombrero and huge fake mustache, which was pretty funny, but I can see how it could be borderline offensive.

    Mind you given how much air time those same two dudes seem to get in todays game I am expecting to see about 500 of them in the crowd for the next game.

    Those are the masks that the mayan (or Aztec) tribe who are Sanchez's ancestors wore.

    i will bet you there are tons of them, ill bet the jets brass is figuring out how to put an nfl trademark on em and sell em at the games.
