Minnesota / SF will be a good game... The Vikings have beaten the 49ers 3 out of the last 4 times they met with a combined score of 102 - 30.

    1999 Vikings 40 49ers 16
    2003 Vikings 35 49ers 7
    2006 Vikings 27 49ers 7

The lone loss was in 2006 when the 49ers won 9-3.

It must have been moved to 4:15 to make up for the Titans-Jets moving up to 1.

It seems like an awful matchup. The 49ers have problems getting to the QB, so Brett Favre may have some success through the air today. I made a trade in my other keeper league and got Bernard Berrian in the package (also got Felix Jones; traded away Brian Westbrook). I'm starting Berrian today because Minnesota should have much better passing numbers today than they did the first two weeks.

The other issue for the 49ers is that the Vikings are very tough to run against. Shaun Hill is probably going to have to have success in the passing game today for SF to win.

Brian Westbrook will not play today. If you have LeSean McCoy on your fantasy team you may want to start him.
I will start him in the league in which I traded away Westbrook.

In my other league (only have two leagues but have McCoy in each one), I am loaded at RB and because we only start 2 RBs (no flex slot), I may leave McCoy on my bench. Other RBs are DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Chris Johnson, Donald Brown, and Fred Jackson.

Even though Minny hasn't given up a 100 yard rusher yet, they are giving up 4 YPA.

It's also the home opener for Minnesota with a 2-0 record. The crowd should be a factor, too. I think it's a really tough spot for the 49ers.

The matchup to watch in that game will be Adrian Peterson / Patrick Willis.

The Bucs might be the worst team in the NFL. There's nothing good about that team. No good players. Their offense sucks. Their defense sucks.

I think the Lions would beat them right now.

All Leftwich can do is dump off screen passes

    he's terrible

the Giants know this, and almost every time it's a screen pass, the guy is tackled for a loss (occasionally no gain or 1-2 yards).

Leftwich: 5/6 for 9 yards and a pick
Derrick Ward: 3 rushes for 7 yards

no first downs for Tampa Bay

and they're having great difficulty stopping the Giants on defense.

The constant three and outs and/or turnovers by the offense probably isn't helping.

Tampa Bay finally forced a Giants punt, and the returner had a chance for a good runback. What happened? He ran forward a few yards and then tripped over his feet with no one around him.

no first downs in the first half for Tampa Bay

game is 14-0, but that's more because of the Giants failing. It's looked more like a 31-0 game.

    holy crap

Terry Bradshaw got just about everybody's name wrong in the halftime highlights

He called Calvin Johnson "Brian Johnson"

He called Fred Taylor something else.

and messed up at least one more.

The Redskins belong in that argument as well. The Lions are going to beat them and break their record losing streak today. Mark it down.
