Does anybody know this band? I just discovered them and I LOVE them. http://www.myspace.com/glasvegas
I've got their album, their songs sound the same and some of the lyrics are a bit cheesy. But they are not bad,I think if you heard 'Daddy's gone' on the day your dad died then you would probably become an emotional wreck. And the part of 'Flowers and football tops' where they sing 'you are my sunshine' in the past tense tugs at the heart strings.
I'm afraid I do,what's worse is that I'm jealous of my folks who went to see the proclaimers musical.
would make a good song for a jets defense highlight video
Oh wow a fellow TGGer from the exact same town as that band... I've only heard those songs on that page, but I purchased the cd off amazon and I can't wait to give the whole thing a listen. I was supposed to see them open for Kings of Leon saturday but they were sick Are they pretty big over there?
Alternating between the album Boston, by Boston, Everything Goes Numb, by Streetlight Manifesto, and Renegades, by Rage Against the Machine. Eclectic, to say the least. But for anyone who is a fan of ska, or of good music in general, without any prejudices, I'll humbly submit:
I love you no homo. 3 absolutely awesome choices and 3 of my favorite albums. Point/Counterpoint is freakin epic. I'm debating skipping my radio show to go see them play in Starland in October. I hear they're playing a long set. Boston and Rage....simply amazing. But here's what I got today Alice in Chains + William DuVall works.
1320 is a hell of a burner. Their best album since the early 90s. Also, RATM = commercialized rebellion.
I'm very seriously contemplating driving 3 hours Thursday to see Streetlight on Thursday, and I'd be going it alone, since my buddy flaked out on me at the last minute. If I can finish my paper tomorrow night, I'm definitely going. I have a ticket already, it was only like 15 bucks. Anyone in the Pittsburgh area, check it out. And yes, all that music is utterly epic. Today's selection:
