He was a non factor in the noise against the PATS ...the fans got loud on their own but he does lead the chant in unison which pumps me up everytime.

Oh come on I think it was a nice way of giving a game ball to the fans... it's not like they could call anyone oin so they called who they thought was the most rapresentative!Give the guy a brake... it was a nice jesture by the Jets...

say what you want about ed, but that chant doesn't get done if the camera isn't on him.. so deal with it and stop hating.

if Joe Fan got the gameball it wouldn't even get the press.

Ed gets it because this fanbase has appointed him the chant leader. Blame all of us for Ed's fame.

Yeah, I almost threw up when I read the title of the thread. And what's with this ball anyway? Did we just win a freakin' SB that I'm not aware of?

Give the fans the game ball when we win the AFC Championship, for Christ's sake. Not Game Freakin' Two.

the meaning is in that for once this awful, lazy, whiny, undeserving fanbase was louder than most high-profile college football teams.

they deserve a reward for being actual fans for once. But they can't slack off come this sunday.

You know something, we have been crying over not having a home of our own for years and this past sunday was the most unbelievable crowd and game experience i've ever experienced in my 29+ years as a season ticket holder.
I know we don't play a rivalry game like the Pats but once at home a season but i PRAY we can make the stadium rock just as loud for all our home games.
I mean, we were actually a part of this victory! How can we not want to feel that every week?

I don't see how anyone can be annoyed about Fireman Ed and his shtick, unless they're jealous? He's a fan and a cheerleader, big deal. Classy move by the Jets.

I can't stand the guy but he said all the right things and we did miss him 2 years ago. Hey, at least the players and coach recognize us. Lets see if the place is full and loud this w/e. I bet its not, make me look bad Jet fans

LMAO cause he hurt his back and neck while on the job, and didn't want to possibly aggravate it worse at the games.

The Jets tried to get it to work, they would camera a single person in the crowd (usually some hot female) to do it, but that person was usually retarded and didn't know what to do

fuck Fireman Ed I want the ball!!! nah but for real I think that's cool. Like it or not he represents us as Jets fans...which is actually kind of scary now that I think about it.

He might be a dirtbag in his own space, but as far as promoting the Jets/Fans. definitely a good thing.
