Baltimore is playing really bad on defense... did they allow about 50 points in 2 games? I guess after all it wasn't just the players... Ryan had some merits too
My top ten: 1 Saints 2 Giants 3 Falcons 4 Vikings 5 Jets 6 Ravens 7 Colts (They will beat the Phins in a close one.) 8 49ers 9 Broncos 10 Steelers Also I think the Bills will be ranked higher than the Patriots with both in the top 15 if not top 12.
It wasn't the "official" Power Rankings. It was Clark Judge's Top 5 and Bottom 5. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/12237772 Figured I'd post it since he's the main voice in the CBS power rankings.
Mine: 1. Ravens 2. Saints 3. Falcons 4. Jets 5. Giants 6. Steelers 7. Vikings 8. 49ers 9. Chargers 10. Colts Likely breakouts up ahead for the Giants (@TB, @KC, Oak), Eagles (TB, KC, @Oak) and Packers (@ StL, @Min, Det, @Cle). Teams that are going to have to prove it include the Vikings (SF, GB, @StL, Bal, @Pit, @GB), Patriots (Atl, Bal, @Den, Ten) and Broncos (Pit, @Cle, Bal). Acid tests coming up for the Titans (@NYJ, @Jax, Ind, @NE), 49ers (@Min, StL, Atl, @Hou, @Ind, Ten) and Saints (@Buf, NYJ, NYG).
The Pats were first or second in most power rankings last week, even after that stinker against the Bills. And I wouldn't be surprised if their still in the top ten after losing to Atlanta next week. I can't take these things too seriously.
Faclons Ravens and Saints are the only teams that can beat the Jets. This team would kill the Giants.
Lets not overrate our Jets just yet, our defensive unit is a stud but I think we really don't know the full extent of this Jets team and their weekly effort until these next 2 weeks are over (Titans, @ Saints) even though there are some one loss teams like the Steelers I would definitely put over the Jets, even the Giants who looked fucking awesome last night I say were definitely in the top 7 though
I love this line about the Titans: What happened to that defense? Maybe they do miss Jim Schwartz. There is no way that should happen to that group. Johnson had a huge day, rushing for 197 yards and scoring the three big-play touchdowns. I think they might be missing more than Schwartz....here's a hint to the columnist...he's bigger than a breadbox.
I understand that the Giants beat two Divisional opponents, but their D hasn't looked that good at all. I don't know how they're #1...
Giants have looked really good the past 2 games, and how many times did they pick off Romo last night? 3 times, I thought the D was good EXCEPT that the Cowboys ran all over the Giants last night
Romo flat out sucked last night. Giants D is middle of the pack in terms of yards allowed so far & in points per game. They allowed 251 rushing yards against yesterday. If Eli & that offense didn't come through and Romo didn't suck so much, the Giants lose yesterday. If the Jets don't belong at #1 due to their offense being in the middle of the pack (which by the way has only 62 less yards than the Giants), than the Giants don't belong at #1 either. Jets Points: +20 P/G - 8 P/G = +12 P/G Yardage: +358.0 Y/G - 241.0 Y/G = +117 Y/G Giants Points: +28 P/G - 24 P/G = +4 P/G Yardage: +389.0 Y/G - 325.0 Y/G = +64 Y/G Plus IMO Houston > Washington New England > Dallas Giants only get a bonus for playing two divisional teams.
I disagree. Do you think Ryan would lose to the Ravens? The Saints may have offense but they have no defense. The Falcons in my mind would be the only interesting game. If my Steelers can pull their head out of their ass that would be an interesting game as well. Ryan has a serious bone to pick with the Steelers and I would give the edge to the team playing at home.
The Cowboys were running at will against that Giants defense, but the Cowboys Coaching Brain Trust pulled a Mangini and abandoned the run when it was most effective in order to allow their overrated QB to throw the game away for them. Romo sucks a goat. And last night it showed. He made some of the worst throws I've ever seen a pro QB make against the Giants.
