Over Rhodes -- the inspiration for this thread. who are you? Faneca -- are you properly motivated? Ellis -- see above Under Strickland -- everywhere! cotch -- breaks every first tackle, and totally team first. impossible not to love pettine -- needs props.
I'll agree with you on Strickland, other than the play he missed the tackle he was all over the place. The play he crushed Edelman in the backfield on the screen was amazing. He never even looked at Brady.
I think it's fair. Rhodes hasn't stood out to me at all.... I think Leonhard has had more of an impact so far (on the field.)
I noticed Rhodes had Moss covered on that Revis Int and could have made the play himself but pulled up when he saw Revis in position. He did his job today.
rhodes is not overrated, we are just used to seeing him all over the place/over worked the past few seasons, this year he has more help, a better system, and less pressure.. he is still doing his thing, i mean sh*t, how can you call anyone overrated when we havent given up a td yet?
Ellis isn't overrated, he's a good player. It's not like he get's a whole lot of credit to begin with either. underrated - Gholston overrated - TJ.. not that he isn't a solid player.
Kerry does more than you think. Opposing coordinators draw up plays to keep Kerry away from the ball. They know hes an All Pro Safety.
Kerry Rhodes is very good. People who say he is overrated are wrong IMO. The guy is a very good player. He's not as good as guys like Reed and Polamalu but he's at that next level IMO.
Ellis is overrated? Did you see that huge stop he had late in the 4th quarter? That was an absolute key play and he completely shed his block.
i agree with strickland being all over the place. he played a hell of a game. i was impressed with eric smith too. this defence is real solid. wait until pace gets back.
